Motivation comes in different ways not just sweet talking.
We've the hair-dryer treatment, benching treatment, ginger treatment, sweet talking and persuasion and all.
A coach who knows how to blend all these things at the right time is a good motivator.

There is positive and negative motivation. Carrot and stick.
So far, positive motivation has not been working for this players. Negative from Mourinho did not work.
