Why should I make case for Nwakeame when we have better wingers?

Do you have sense at all?

I am talking about dropping a player who did well in Laliga for players in obscure leagues. Can't you understand?

Mr follow follow.
Nwakaeme can play as a striker, even as a winger he had better numbers than Simon Kalu or even Chuks ahead of Afcon, why didn't we see you here crying injustice?

Ramon is still a part of the team. I trust he will likely make the main teamlist for the Qualifiers in November. These ones for October are Friendlies and it's a good chance to view a few top prospects. That is where Onyeka and Tijani come in. Tijani sef is as a rookie prospect just like Osimhen was. You should understand that.

But as for Onyeka, it is to assess what he can add to the team since Ndidi obviously has no stable replacement/Stand-in and Frank Onyeka is being touted as a possible Ndidi Backup due to their similar playing styles in certain game aspects as DMs.

Also, the coach was majorly addressing invites from the local league and not just from the Euro leagues. There are people who try to attack Rohr for not having enough home-based players in the team and that is what his words in the article address at length.

Yea the Ramon Azeez issue pain me too sha. Bros got an assist in our last match he deserved a spot. I just hope like u said he is part of Rohr's plans because this would be one for the detractors to sit their hat on

For the past 3/4 seasons Nwakaeme have been a regular goal scorer in Turkey with only 1 invite to show for it, does that mean he's not igbo enough? Are you trying to say Azeez being excluded from this particular set of friendlies is because he's not igbo? Make it make sense please

Nwakeame is a LW and he is up against Simon Moses and Ejuke. Who should be dropped for him?

What I know is somebody wants to sell player hence the need to make him a National team player but at the detriment of a better player.

Lol....and like I already said, he was mainly addressing the local guys who say he keeps ignoring Local/home based talents. Rohr always insists that our best players are in Europe although he has indeed invited couple of players from the local league.

For the sake of these friendlies, some slots must be excused for now to try out a few new lads.

forgiveness:

But Rohr told us he selected the "BEST" player. I just read that now. This one is sugarcoating.

forgiveness:

Nwakeame is a winger. Who do you want to bench for him?

Can you reason am again before you comment?

How come you were not talking about a player who did better in Laliga?

All I saw you did was pull out stats to justify the call up of a player from obscure league.

I was wondering were you left the rating of leagues behind.

He is poor as a striker.

It is only a mo.ron that will drop Chuks with that his exceptional performance in the Laliga. I was one of those who clamoured openly for his invitation here.

Give us the name of the people in charge of players selection then..
Since you are so sure that the list is being influenced along tribal lines, you must have the name of the people involved...some Chukwudi or Okoro or Danladi undecided ...
If you can't do that, you are just blowing hot air..

Did you name the people involved before you called Buhari a tribalist?

Fair point Basco. Time will tell. Ramon was part of our last competitive list and he did well. I trust he will be part of the next one provided he is fit. But again, there's room for competition and we know Ramon is not being looked at as Ndidi's stand-in in that DM role.

Rohr didn't say our best players are in Europe. He said he only invited the "best" one.

The obscure league players are better than the Laliga player, right? I can't be fooled. Even people know he's lying.

”With the experience I have, I don’t have any problem (with agents). They all know I have nothing to do with money and all of that means there’s no influence possible, no pressure. I only take the best ones.

His quotes on him saying "our best players are in Europe" were mentioned earlier this year in a Channels interview. This one I dropped by Ọma Akatugba just emphasizes the fact that Rohr insists on picking the best players and if you look at the article, he was majorly addressing the issue of not picking home based players. He mentioned CHAN and the number of home-based players he has invited since he took the Super Eagles manager mantle.

Since Buhari became president, most of his major appointments have gone to his kinsmen in the north..it is a general knowledge!

On the other hand, you have no idea who are the people in charge of players selection for the national team but quickly concluded that they are being tribalistic because your boys were dropped..

Unless Rohr is trying to sabotage our AFCON qualification chance,I don't see why he would leave Azeez out of the squad..
It's just a friendly!..
Azeez would most likely be back for the November games..

Tijani and Onyeka may most likely miss out on the next list too...

Lol... Come on now. I am curious. B'cos I know the only time I dropped an Onyeka stat was not today in this discussion at all. I dropped it possibly a day or two days ago from the 2019/2020 season under the tag "One of the New guys". Did I mention Ramon in that post?

And again, it's not like Ramon is totally out of the picture. He is on standby and he could return to the main list come November. Ramon is seen as cover for the CM and DM roles due to his multipurpose traits as a midfield player but Rohr understands he is more of a CM/player who can provide energy and stability off the bench thus he needs a proper stand-in for Ndidi in the DM role. Tactically looking at this will eliminate this tribal talk. Ramon is still in Rohr's plans. So relax. smiley

It is also a GENERAL knowledge Rohr is not TOTALLY in charge of the selection of players into the national team and selection favours players from the places talent where talent only exist in Nigeria as I was made to believe here.

Lol... Azeez is not a proper DM. Frank is. Ndidi has no proper backup. Rohr could address that with Frank or Mikel Agu.
Tijani will definitely not make the next squad. This is his one chance to be blooded in with these friendlies.

You guys should relax. Forgiveness most especially. Let Rohr do what he has to. Afterall, you all agree that Ndidi has no true backup in the DM role.

And hey... Danny, thanks for the emphasis. grin

I believe if Ajagun is from the so called places where "football talent" can "ONLY" be found in Nigeria (as I was made to believe here), he would have gotten call up(s) by the men in the affairs of Nigerian football.

Afterall, players from Norway, Denmark, etc can easily make the team because they are considered ballers. The joke is on you both.
I want to salute your courage for coming out true. Most of the critics we see here are not entirely based on performance but tribe. No wonder some of you supported Algeria and Tunisia at the last AFCON to beat Nigeria just because you felt a certain region dominated the SE.

Bro una get forgiveness time abeg. Everybody here knows that Azeez is a bona-fide member of the current super eagles team but Rohr left him out inorder to see what onyeka and tijani can offer the team judging by the case that both hv been immerse for their respective clubs.

Onyeka is being touted as the perfect cover for ndidi while tijani was brought in as a future leader of the next generation which was the same way osimhen was introduced to the team even when he barely had game time at Wolfsburg few yrs ago.

Moreover Azeez's presence in the team is not futuristic if his age is to be considered and i strongly doubt if he will make the next afcon team. Rohr immediate plan is to blood in younger talents to complement the structure he has on ground already

So I will advise mk una free forgiveness abeg cheesy cheesy

Truth is on the overall, we want the best for the team both for now and for the long run. That is what should dominate our outlook and viewpoints on the team. The team is on course for something special.
