Rohr is gradually building a team that can challenge for the afcon trophy as well as surprise world football in next world cup As it stands now only few players when fit can boast of a starters shirt in Rohr's team. Without mincing words I foresee the likes of etebo, Omeruo, awaziem, Collins and balogun been dropped entirely from the team in a year or two judging by the talents we boast of currently Imagine a situation where the likes of uduokhai, Akpoguma, torunarigha, ejaria, olise, Ehizibue, saka, adarabioyo etc are all available for selection, the battle for a place in the team will be fierce to be honest 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: Tijani has not emerged yet... He is in development, still a long way to go. Ofoborh has been playing CB. |

charlesemeka85: Rohr told the media openly he invited the "best" one. Too much SUGARCOATING can't change what he said. |

tbaba1234:you re right about tijani but for him to be a starter in his current team just few months of leaving the shores of Africa signifies he deserves the commendation he is getting of late. As for offobor it's normal for DMs to be slotted to the cb position which in other hand enhances the defensive aspect of their game which is their main priority Last season he played in his natural position for Wycombe and did well that the championship newcomers wanted him back on loan this term but Bournemouth refused. I saw him against city and he looked assured defensively and very comfortable when in possession of the ball. So him been played in both position is a huge plus to his game as a dm |

forgiveness:oga agu is in the mix just because we lack better DM before the emergence of frank onyeka last season |

charlesemeka85: Frank I saw this week is not better than Agu. What did he do last season? Did he win the best player in Denmark league? I am very surprised that a player in the Danish league can be considered for the national team after Peter because many were ignored from that league. What makes him special? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 11:54pm On Sep 26, 2020 |
forgiveness: Of course he invited the best based on current form. Onyeka won the league with midyjlland and was voted his clubs player of the season. Also he hv been impressive so far in this new season both in Europe and the danish league and currently linked with a possible move to the bundesliga Tijani's case is quite understandable because everyone know the reason why he was invited, not only that he also hv been very good in the Austrian top flight and Europe as well after just leaving Africa 2 months ago. Azeez is not an out and out DM but cm and in Rohr's current team in that position he is down the pecking order which is clear to everyone |

charlesemeka85: Didn't I mention Peter who happened to be last called from the Danish league? Besides, Ajilore was called while in the Eredivisie. However, Rohr made us understand he will not call players from obscure leagues. What makes these different? |

charlesemeka85: The fact that Tijani is based in Austria where the games will take place might be another factor why he was considered.. I dunno why forgiveness isn't looking at the positive side of this squad... It's not like Azeez has been frozen out of the team already.. 1 Like 1 Share |
