Hello Kingsley, I want to assume the name on your passport is thesame as on your credentials. But your birth certificate its different. You only need to support that with a sworn affidavit. You lucky you and your sponsor shared thesame last name. I submit... quote author=Rap101 post=94385852]Good evening everyone. I am Kingsley. A friend of mine recommended that I sign up here to get ideas on how to solve an issue bordering on some irregularities in my name as appeared on my birth certificate. At birth, my birth certificate bears CHINEDUM UKACHUKWU ABBAH. But my WAEC certificate bears a different name though similar as my name since then has been CHINEDU KINGSLEY ABAH which appears on all my certificates. The KINGSLEY is my English name so I am no longer using UKACHUKWU as its my tribal name. The issue here is that my brother that wants to sponsor me is bearing KENNEDY EMEKA ABBAH. Wouldn't this difference in surname cause issues for me? Please what can I do to solve this issue before submitting my application?[/quote] |

Hi guys, I have a similar issue also. On my birth certificate, I have Odili Oluwaseun Emmanuel. But just before getting into the university, I changed the Oluwaseun to Damilola and I've been maintaining that since then. Hence having, Odili Damilola Emmanuel. I was thinking I should do another birth certificate and back date it to be on a safer side, or just swear an affidavit stating that I'm the bearer of both names. Which would be best advised, please? cc @IcasNg Rap101: |

Dear @obenjamin. Many thanks for your response. Actually the correct surname is ABBAH and not ABAH. On my birth certificate it bears ABAH but not ABBAH and my brother that's sponsoring me bears the correct name which is ABBAH. Yes all my credentials bear CHINEDU KINGSLEY ABAH instead of CHINEDU KINGSLEY ABBAH. Please can anyone advice me on what to do? I am going crazy. I don't want it to look like inconsistencies in the documents submitted obenjamin: |

I got admission in Griffith college and the fees was 12.5k euros. My elder brother was like he can't afford it. That except Griffith would accept half of the payment and later he will complete it. Even one of his friend that is in USA told him not to pay that in USA he can find sch of six thousand to 8 thousand dollars and he also said I should look of sch of 8 thousand dollars in Canada. The problem is that USA and Canada visa is harder than Ireland visa. Pls is there any cheap sch in Ireland I can apply that is around 8k euros that one would be easy for me to persuade him to pay |

morinto: You probably have to discuss with your brother on the level of help or assistance he intends providing to you. Kindly note that after Tuition, you still have to present funds for Visa application, funds for living expenses until you can secure a part time job etc . I'll suggest you opt for the UK to avoid stories that touch especially when you get to the visa application stage. 1 Like |

Hello @ICasNg I just recieved a refusal letter for my study visa application yesterday in which the reasons for refusal and required documentation were clearly stated. I am currently working on the appeal. However I am not sure if to include other documnents that have been submitted prior that do not have any issues such as my WAEC certificate, school transcripts etc. when sending the documents back to Abuja. Please kindly advice. Thank you. |

Agent must be a thief You don't need to pay for application form for Irish college because its free unless you are EU citizens and you are applying late but since you are Nigerian living in Nigeria then contact the school you want to apply to and they will give you an agent which is free of charge You don't need to pay princejunaid: |

princejunaid: Run. As far as I know, schools in Ireland use agents to admit students and this is totally free on the part of the student. Let me know the school you're applying to and I will tell you how to go about it. |

Hello Great people of Nairaland, I have a complain concerning my Irish visa appeal which I submitted on the 27th of March(pre-covid) restrictions/lockdown and I never got a reply from the embassy so I exercised patience till after aug 4, then when I wrote to the embassy concerning my appeal and their reply was that “my application was received in June in chronological order”. They concluded by saying if an additional documentation is needed they’ll contact me via my email, up till this moment, I’ve not heard from the embassy concerning my appeal; * What could basically be the issue here? *Why is it taking so long? * my school resumes second week of oct, is there any possibility of meeting up? More Importantly; while I was sending my appeal in March I didn’t pay for the courier service to return to my address(due to financial difficulties as at that time) Can I pick it up from the embassy when it’s ready? I’ll appreciate answers for my questions, God bless the House, Thanks. |

Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by ICaSNg(f): 8:02am On Sep 30, 2020 |
princejunaid: Morning, Yes some agents charge while others don't. Kindly also note that some Universities have app fees while others don't. E.g University of Limerick charges 35 euro for application, UCC and few others charge 55 euro or thereabout. Others without app fee includes NCI,TUDUBLIN, Dbs, Griffith DCU, Athlone etc However, I saw your comment about Tuition fee or deposit of #1m if am correct? Let me advise that, that amount is currently only equivalent to 2000 euros. Tuition fee on average in Ireland is 12000 euros per year, if such college or uni accepts partial deposit, the embassy requires at least 6000 euro payment before applying for a study permit. You probably need to carry out your personal research before approaching an agent. To get a list of approved agencies for a particular school, visit the international representatives part on the school's website. Cheers 1 Like |
