Well, these are my take's on the debate.
First of all, kudos to Wallace, I think he did very well in his moderation and trying to make both candidates stick to the rules of the debate. Trump made the debate messy but Wallace did try very well in his moderation.

Secondly, watching the debate, I could see how Trump became the president. It takes a lot of skill to confidently chat bullshit the way he does.
As an avid debater myself from primary school through secondary school, I can say that Trump won this debate, you know why? Many at times, debates like these, especially political debates is not just about the content of your speech but also the charisma, the projection, the mannerisms and the demeanor.
Trump did appear as a bully but psychologically that plays to his advantage because the average watchers who might not yet have an affiliation to any of the candidates or party would have interpreted it as strength of leadership because quite frankly the average viewer is gullible or impressionable.

Thirdly, Trump did come off as the more eloquent of the two while making his points. His speeches were flowing smoothly (again, regardless of its content or veracity) while Biden was sputtering and unsteady in his speeches. Biden allowed Trump to throw him off his game.

I was particularly disappointed with Biden because he seemed not to understand that this was a political debate where you are very much allowed to go on the offensive and clap back when attacked. We all know that Trump has a lot of weakpoints that could be attacked, (for instance, when Trump attacked hunter, a good debater would deny and then clap back with Don Jr's stealing from a children charities or ivanka receiving patents from China or trump's infidelity in marriage or his misogyny seeing as these were the strengths of Biden personally and trump's weaknesses. Biden rarely landed punches.

Anyways, I don't think there are true independents who will be moved by this debate. Trump basically made it a shit show with his constant interruptions but he did get a lot of his points across and Biden didn't really do that much. I think the positive for Biden is that no serious person will believe that Biden is senile or has mental problems although he has come off as a poor communicator but that can be fixed.
A very unbiased assessment of the debate. I must give it to you, you gave the most unbiased opinion on the debate. Better than others including mine.

They think 2nd Amendment is for Red Necks alone. I belong to African American Gun Owners Club in Chicago and you will be surprised by the arsenals some of these brothers are carrying. They just don't do show off like those raging lunatics on the far right. My wife is the only one stopping me from getting me a Baretta AR 15.
Republicans are fighting to save the second amendment for everyone, it's the democrats that have been trying to demonize and kill it. Beto said , " yeah we're going to take away your damn AR 15's" remember that?

One thing that was glaring in that debate was that Trump is a fighter and Joe Biden is one the weakest candidates in American presidential history.

Believe me Salford, not a single soul I know in Chitown or the surrounding suburbs is afraid of those clowns. Trump is losing and he knows that and he wants to go on scorched earth Policies that won't work. Like Biden said, Trump will lose and go quietly and will be indicted by the State of New York.

What did Joe Biden say about Antifa and BLM violence?
He condemned the violence that came with the riots in both the left and right.
He also pointed out what the FBI said about Antifa

Trump will lose chicago anyday and he is not even trying to win it. He knows the votes he needed to win and he made a strong push for those votes last night.

Seriously, I was so disappointed. You don't debate calmly with someone like Trump. Biden was just blah. Once again, I wish Sanders was the one standing there instead of Biden

Chris Wallace interrupted Trump 35times that's like every 2.57 minutes during the entire 90mins debate. Sounds like Trump was debating two people

Chris wallace really messed himself up last night.

I agree with you and donjazet I was irritated while watching that.

But I think.Trump was the one who played himself not Biden. He showed presidential character and let the dog bark like a global fool.
You can't expect Biden to stoop so low and go punch for punch Biden ignored and taljed straight to the American people something Trump could not do

Biden was ao easily distracted, so easily thrown off by Trump, who just wouldn't shut the f up. It is very important to stay focus, speak faster, talk louder when you have to, and continuously throw your punches when debating someone like Trump. There's no time to dwell on sth. for too long or even take a break.

I mean come on, was it not so predictable that Trump wouldn't be fair in this debate? If someone acts like a child, then by all means treat him like one.

Don't blame Biden. How do you debate a pathological liar who obfuscate the truths every time he opens his lying chops ?. No one not even Bernie Sanders can do much when Trump's lying and trespassing by not letting you talk when it's your turn. Chris Wallace was frustrated with Trump but there's nothing much he could do.

In my opinion. Trump only repeated the same BS to his base. He didn't gain anything from the debate. He instead lost moderates and independents that might have swinged to his side especially when he refused to condemn white supremacists. He was given that chance on a platter of gold but blew it, all because he needed to keep his base same.

Biden also directly focused on the camera several times to reach out to viewers. That was strong too.

Expect more lunacy from him till the eve of Nov 3rd. I thought Biden did well under the circumstance he found himself. You get in a wrestling match with a Pig and you know you will come out smelling like a pig. Trump was calling Senator Warren Pocohatos and calling Senator Schumer names and they are not the ones debating him. How do Americans vote for you when you are 74 years old behaving like a spoilt 7 year old.

Just like donjazet has implied, only people with a brain will see things like that. Of course Trump was spewing trash, but I felt like Biden let himself be distracted by that trash. He should save his presidential character for when he actually becomes one. Debates aren't supposed to be calm, you throw your punches, you're trying to convince people afterall.

When he mentioned Pocahontas. I cringed. It's derogatory to refer to First nations or Aboriginals women by that name - Atleast in Canada. How does he get a pass with throwing racists terminologies around?

In my own opinion there is no debating Trump all.lies no facts do you expect Biden to waste 2 minutes punching an irrelevant idiot that confirmed the narrative today?I agree Biden is not good at counter attack but I believe his facing the people tonight and talking to them is better than exchanging words with a shameless liar that has become a national and international embarrassment.

If you were an undecided voter right now looking at the debacle yesterday who will you vote for?

I am glad Biden did not stoop low he used his time well to sell himself
