(Sorry, my main account was banned by the bot for posting link to the Reuters article. )

Actually, Buhari was right.

What Buhari was alluding to was the lack of transparency, fraud, etc. The amount stolen almost rivaled the subsidy itself that the removal would have been better. Though I admit he exaggerated a bit, that's Politics. He's a politician. Politicians use hyperbole as a tool, it's necessary in politics.

According to findings by Reuters, Buhari was proven right. SEE SCREENSHOTS..

Inciting the people? That he protested the fraud doesn't mean he incited anyone. See how Buhari is being systematic in the removal, several relevant bills in place. Compared to PDP's abrupt approach.

You see.

You're defending him. That's what I told you. Your fidelity to President Buhari worries no one. But your illusion of that being tantamount to patriotism is self-deceit at its peak.

Buhari was right that subsidy was a fraud yet he fought against its removal. Do you fight for the continuance of a fraud?
He was so sure of himself that it was a fraud yet refused to attend Council of State where he could have confronted the then president on the fraud like a true statesman or patriot should do. His refusal to attend did not stop him from collecting the perks of his status from the same fraudulent govt even up to collecting cars and cash from Dasuki.

What difference is there between his removal and that of GEJ? Which is better? To remove it all at once and let the system absorb the shock and adjust or continue to mess with the system at interval claiming subsidy removal?

Your peers (private sector) increased the price of the so called commodities, & you are blaming the Federal Government? Does the Federal Government control the downstream sector of oil, does the Federal Government own the Distribution or Energy Generation Companies?

It's obvious that u either don't understand how these increments affect cost of production or u are just another plain stupid Buhari supporter. I rather u keep shut rather than make myopic statement as response to my submission .

I think you should read my posts again, LOL.. I made mention of Buhari's approach being systematic and GEJ's being abrupt.

I also made mention of POLITICS, which is a direct reply to his protest. All there in my posts. Did you read them at all?

Buhari fought against the ill-timed manner it was removed. If you read my post, it's clearly there. He fought against both the fraud and the ill-timed manner of its removal.

That it's a fraud doesn't mean the subsidy doesn't exist. I clearly stated it, even attached a source, which resulted in my ban. They stole so much that it would have been better there wasn't subsidy in the first place. But nothing Buhari could do. So he protested against the removal, as the time wasn't ripped for it, coupled with the fact that it was done abruptly. That doesn't mean he exonerated GEJ, LOL..

Another bone of contention was how the amount earmarked for the subsidy will be used, coupled with the bankruptcy claim.. All this plus the fact that massive subsidy frauds were being exposed resulted in the extreme lack of trust. So they protested that rather than diverting the money into something they can't trust the government to judiciously utilize for the masses, they should just leave it.

The corruption was too terrible, brother. So don't blame Buhari and co..

May God bless us all.

I don't know when Buhari became the nation's timekeeper to decide the best time to remove subsidy for us. But the coronavirus pandemic when millions are out of jobs is the best time abi?

Buhari clearly meant that subsidy does not exist then. Don't try to twist the narratives.
It was his insistence coupled with that of others that led to subsidy gulping our national budget for eight more years.

If he really had the nation's interest at heart and not being just bitter and hateful, he could have attended just ONE Council of state meeting and sought clarification on the matter.

Again your lame attempts at exonerating Buhari shows where your loyalty lies.
That's what I believe was the root of the discussion.
A million "God blesses" doesn't catapult you to being a patriot. It's your allegiance to concept Nigeria and no other that does it.

I hope the corruption is no longer terrible now. We all dey here.
Have a good day.

Buhari is not the first to increase fuel price at intervals. OBJ did same. So if that was the solution, OBJ would have been able to totally remove subsidy.

The fact is he later removed subsidy he claimed did not exist.
End of story

Labour-accepts-deregulation-as-govt-halts-hike-electricity-tariffs.

The govt halts hike in electricity tariffs is for a limited period between 29th September and 11th October, 2020. Just 14 days and NERC goes back to MONOPOLY STATUS.

Lol, bro, you keep repeating same thing. From GEJ now to OBJ.. You now see who is not telling the truth, abi? cheesy . I am being honest, as a true patriot.

Anyway, let me let you end the story. But always have this at the back of your mind that his excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari, has the best interest of Nigerians and Nigeria at heart. On this note, I appeal to you and other prodigal sons and daughters of this great nation to have a rethink and return home to the warm opening arms of President Mohammadu Buhari and other well-meaning Nigerians.

We love you.
God bless us all.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Copy that to the thousands of Nigerians being killed in their homes by Fulani herdsmen under his active protection including in his home state where the "prodigal sons" protested yesterday.

You should extend your patriotic verve to them or do you think they deserve to die, or are just wailers, or are haters?

Brother, you mistaking something.. Buhari is not God that he can stop people from harming people. No one can. People killing people happen everywhere, including the sane countries. So stop blaming the President for the problems bedeviling the world. cheesy

However, what Buhari can do is to ensure that insecurity is reduced to the barest. This, he is doing. Security is better compared to what it was under GEJ..

Please let's learn to appreciate good people.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
