Hello family,i've been an adhent follower of this platform for sometime now and i have come to realize that there are quite a large number of intelligent folks here.Therefore i bring a very important issue that have been bothering me and perharps,the recent turn out of a particular event just aggravated the devil in me.Now to my ordeal. I finished my NYSC in 2013 and since then,i have had the opportunity of attending several interviews in need of a job.In many of those interviews,i recieved a lot of praises from the interviewers and sometimes,a resounding clap but in the end,i do not get a call back.Not once nor twice but several times.The one that finally made me convinced that this isn't ordinary was a recent interview i just attended.I recieved so much appraisals and all the interviewers nodded in affirmation.Do you belief that in the end,i wasn't called but a friend i carried along(we gate crashed though) got a call up and here i am thinking about how i always "wow" the interviwers but ill luck sets in afterward.Could anything be wrong with me？pls,help because i'm getting depressed.

Not being oblivion of the works of the devil, but certain situations can make one give the devil recognition where he does not deserve in anyway.

Sometime what you term "perform well or impress" could mean the other way round. The fact that they nod or give resounding clap doesn't mean you ace the interview. It could mean your use of English is great but you are off point.

Don't put too much expectation on the next interview. Just attend the interview and move on.

Nothing is absolutely wrong with you, had similar experiences. From the other side, when you attend interviews, in many cases it's not only about your performance that counts. They tend to look into your personality, which may not be in your favour. Like in my case with hindsight, i was very ambitious and many will read that this guy is only looking for a stepping stone, he will not stay for long.

My advice is that you look for something to start doing, when people see your productivity, they will invite you to join them, that's exactly what happens to moi..

If one way no favour you, you take another lane.

Since 2013 you are still looking for office job, meanwhile blue collar jobbers earn more than 9-5 workers in present day Nigeria.

Be wise, stay sharp and use the internet to your advantage.

I think you should STOP disclosing your movements with anyone including your family. Yes, I said your family which include your mum, dad, siblings. Also, your pastor. Change your church if you can. Next time there is an interview, go without telling anyone.
