The past 6-7 pages on this thread is all about homosexuality and show it disgusts some people and not others. As for me the episode where Tic's dad was portrayed as gay and having sex, I had to forward it cos it's not something I like to watch, Hollywood movies and series these days portray the LGBT community in their movies as more actors are coming out as gay, I totally have nothing against it. I enjoy nude heterosexual scenes, lesbian scenes also but only detest gay scenes, but you won't see me complain about it. I developed a liking for Jules in Euphoria till I discovered she was trans in real life, but didn't stop me from liking her character. I'd homosexuality disgusts you that much, switch to other series and movies from other cultures. Don't bash it in our faces whether you like it or not. 3 Likes 1 Share |

IbrahimMav: I was surprised too with the number of likes. It goes to show the level and amount of Ignoramuses filled in this thread. I was just shaking my head and stopped my endeavor to educate the dude. Cos the stupid likes he was getting will make him feel he's making sense, they're only just fueling his stupidity. The guy's level of reasoning ehn is just shocking. His fans and supporters are even more confounding. 1 Like |

oyaskii: Hmm, I see. Nice to know. I've heard of Sufism, don't know bout it in-depth. But I'll look it up too. The show was enlightening that's what I loved about it. Also that episode "Where's my Country" was very good, where he visited his home Egypt only to find out they were more leaning to pro Western sentiments and ideology. The over religious or zealous Egypt he was hoping for wasn't what he met. He found out everyone were fighting their inner demons in their own way. |

CuteMercury: Lol, this guy ehn... First time I'm actually seeing you having a somewhat reasonable line of thought. But guy our Geopolitics and location simply can't make Nigeria grow to your expectations or aspirations like the North Africans. Having weak and fearful neighbors such as Us doesn't really help one's military grow much. Except by exceptional Strong will from the Leaders/govt and the populace willingness. Egypt is surrounded by Belligerent Nations and Israel, so it is a must it has a sizable and significantly Capable military. Without that they're planning for suicide. Also it's history being the capital of the world at a time and being invaded by different Nations since time immemorial makes it a must for such Might. SouthAfrica's case is more or less due to minority white/Boer rulership and zeal to maintain status quo. Also Apartheid and the world turning back on them helped make them kinda sufficient. They also had nukes before the 5 powers cajoled them to denuclearisation. |

AbdulSleeky: Yep, I'm watching it. Don't know why it is looking kinda boring recently. But there's an uptick in the 7th episode I watched this evening. It's looking interesting now. Episodes 4&5 was a borefest. Hope 8&9 gets more enjoyable. |

abduleez1: 8 and 9 are out. I just wanted to ask you if you can understand the mithraic religion's similarity with christianity. I was originally a catholic and Catholics in the medieval times were also scientists despite their religious dogma. The religion on the show really touches me. Better yet, I am now an atheist. So I can see both sides. I wonder how the show's religion would appear to a muslim. |
Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by abduleez1(m): 9:46pm On Sep 30, 2020 |
AbdulSleeky: Yeah, I know they're out. Downloaded a few days ago, just catching up to it since I stopped at 5. It was getting a bit boring then and made me fall asleep. Yes, the Mithraic religion is more or less Christianity to me. It doesn't really seem odd to me. It's normal and isn't weird. Although it kinda suggest Catholicism. Maybe my views is cos of that my religious background I told you earlier about. I'll need to get to 8&9 to get more perspective on it. |

seankafor: True. I will although give more credit to the DSS. Heard they were instrumental in stopping the Bombings in Abuja and Northern Nigeria. Especially the rampant female suicide Bombers then. I think NIA is mostly based on SIGINT(Signal Intelligence) than HUMINT(Human Intelligence), that's why I like DSS more with their HUMINT approach. Naija has operatives in Niger and Chad. Mostly in the Lake Chad Basin. @ the bolded, that's why I love the Mossad. Silent Killers with no noise. They've got crazy reputation. Unlike noisy Global Police Uncle Sam. 1 Like |

CuteMercury: I thought you were gaining sense. Only to reformat back to default settings. Best you shat up on things you know not. Na unproven Armies you dey rate Sha. smh Naija is easily amongst top 7 in Africa. With Egypt sitting atop everyone. Then you'll say Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, SouthAfrica and Ethiopia. Prolly Nigeria above or at par with Ethiopia. |
