Bihari should be reminded that minimum wage in Saudi Arabia is 305,100 naira as against our 30,000 here in Nigeria. Comparison should involve all indicators such as infrastructure, minimum wage etc. 4 Likes |

It makes no sense for the price of Fuel to be cheaper than that of Saudi Arabia -Buhari But it make sense for Saudi to have constant light while we spend our minimum wage buying fuel for generators. It make sense for Saudi to pay 300k for minimum wage while we pay 30k. It make sense for Saudi to have good roads while we select the best pot holes to enter. It make sense for Saudi to provide free public health care service while we die daily due to quack hospitals It make sense for Saudi to get good learning environment while we enjoy ASUU strike and poor education. It make sense for Saudi to be one of the best place for doing business while we kill SMEs It make sense for Saidi to be a peaceful country while we die everyday from bandits, SARS, Boko Haram. It make sense for Saudi to create jobs while our graduates sell perfume on WhatsApp status The list goes on and on... Correct Bro President of ALNY 10 Likes |

It is depressing when you hear the country's president talk with so much economic ignorance (and I am not exonerating previous presidents). An economic expert need to explain to our policy makers that it's not about the face value of price, but the value according to the economic indices like exchange rate, inflation and other Micro and micro economic realities. If you double the price of petrol to Ghanaian levels, we would need double the naira to buy the same quantity of dollars to import the same quantity petrol, so naturally the dollar to naira rate would double and we would be back to where we started. The price of petrol was 4k (4 kobo) in the seventies and has increased to N161 today. So no matter how much you increase the price of petrol, it will always be more than price in Saudi Arabia, unless we produce the petrol ourselves and don't need dollars to buy it. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

If you check the exchange rate, per capita income, ease of doing business and the size of Saudis economy he would realise that petrol should be sold for 40naira in Nigeria...... 2 Likes |
