Except the said property was given to her via her father's will, anything outside that will yield no positive result in her favor.

Few weeks ago, I read an article on the decision the Supreme court gave on the note of women inheriting properties in Igbo land and I was just laughing because I know it'll never work.

Many women were forming women right activists, celebrating joyfully over the news on social media with non-Igbos and non-traditional Igbos.

Bruv, there are traditional doings that can't be stopped by social media arguement and ranting.

Not even the Federal government can give women access to their father's properties when there are men in the family. In the settings of inheritance in Igbos land, a woman has no say. The earlier y'all accept this the better.

Most of the things women advocate on social media are things that will lead them to frustration or to their early grave when practiced in reality. Let social media ideas end on social media, if you want to live long in this county.

Only people who are not blessed and financially okay fight over their parent properties. Imagine if Dangote father dies, will Dangote fight over such? Now back to your submission, are female children not suppose to receive from their late parents properties? How could a man that suppose to work and build his future be running after properties he never worked for? Poverty is indeed a disease. Let every man or woman work to better their future instead of relying on properties they may later ruin.

From my understanding of the post, i think the original owner of the properties (the late father) had a late elder son whom he most likely had wanted to be the one to inherit the properties but since he is late and maybe the children are still too young, he now handed the said properties to his daughter to manage for those his grandchildren till they are of suitable age to handle them.
You should be able to detect when somebody is speaking from sentiments.
How can the father pass all his property to his daughter with no regards for the son?
From the post you will realize that not even an inch was given to the son. This is not a case of disregarding a female child but that of a male child which would not make news because the males don't have any group like feminists fighting on their behalf

If a BROTHER CAN INFLICT SUCH INJURIES ON HIS BLOOD SISTER, IMAGINE WHAT HE WILL DO TO OTHERS, WHO DO NOT RELATE TO HIM. IMAGINE THE KIND OF MONSTERS WE SHARE A COUNTRY WITH.

I've said this time without number, Biafra will be another Somalia, when the North finaly gives them independence

Keep quiet! The brother don buy market. Can't you reason and see that he will be arrested and prosecuted? You think him and others like him will go scot-free? The law is the law and nothing can stop it! No single empathy for the woman. Had it been a man, you wouldn't say all this. Advise yourself.

You won't see the likes of Chimamanda Adiche and other feminists from that part of the country voice out on issues as this.. it's to be claiming activists like lions in foreign lands they know.

Back home in their region, they are regarded as nothing, can't inherit properties or hold any top positions meant for men. Hypocrites!

It is quite unfortunate that a typical African man or woman don't belief in change. How could you forget that in the time past many twins were killed, just for been twins, what of albino and people with hunchback. Someone rose up and begin to do something that brought about change. Change your mind set, belief in power to change thing. It may not be now, in your life time, you will see the difference. Peace.

Stupid woman, you want to seat on family inheritance without sharing it with people it suppose which are your blood brothers. Did supreme Court tell the human group that men cannot have share from their father inheritance even if is handed over a woman care? What did she want the world to do? To push her brother to steer a d deny him his share of inheritance? He claims he use the proceed of the property to take care of their dead elder brother children, so you living brother should go to God's know where to get what he eats and the things he need to care for his family.

If you don't want to die by your own greed share the property or call for family meeting and agree on how every member of your parents children should get his own share. If not let them remove you out if the way for peace to rain. Something is fishy in this case, it looks like the woman is more powerful than her brother and wants to take over the entire property without any regards for her brother. See her statement "he placed the properties in my custody" and when it turned to something else she wanted to use feminism and pity to get the brother locked away.
They should try and give the son something na, because from the look of it the son might be really poor and denying him access to an inch his father's property is pure injustice and wickedness

This is the 21st century and things are changing fast very. Some years back most our great grandfathers were idols worshippers, but people now seen idols worshipping as archaic religion and many people have embraced Christianity. Moreover, no tradition supersedes Nigeria Constitution.

Stupeed and useless tradition.

Women can inherit the poverty and take over the burden she knows nothing about in the event the father dies early and leave behind a whole local Govt for her to take care of.

Women has no say but they are allowed to go and prostitute to take care of a stroke ridden father and other rats he gave birth to when some situation warrants it.

The earlier u people throw the useless tradition away the better.

Women are vulnerable that is why they die in a useless man's house despite abuse.

I already willed my first house to my first daughter. Anybody who give her any stress should be shot at sight.
