"Deterrence is key." That's it! The only reason US & Israelis have not attacked Iran is because they know Iran's missile capabilities and of course that Shiites are very stubborn. In terms of missile capability, Iran is among the world powers and they're not just acquiring and upgrading missiles for exhibition - they have said repeatedly they're for self-defence. Perhaps you need to check the true meaning of confronting someone/something. Iran never confronted the US in any way. How can you call an attack on an abandoned US base in Iraq as a response? No one was even injured. I'm pretty sure they would have given a hint of where they wanted to attack before they did, just to avoid a larger response by Trump.

Finally, let me let you in on this: if you think Russia would move a muscle if Iran is attacked, then you've been deceived. The US still has the economic power in the world to go to war with anyone. Not even China can try it, considering their population.

USA fights the aggressors, not even ordinary citizens that collaborate with the State.The US rebuilds which no other country does hence it's not all about bombing.

Secondly, IRAN wouldn't fight US under Donald Trump because Iran understands reciprocity. US Military Generals with their corporate military complex wanted to bomb Iran when US Military drone was shot down by Iran in 2018 but Trump asked how many Iranians will die, the General gave estimate of 150 people which Trump said the Drone doesn't worth the death of 150 innocent Iranian and call off a plan that was already in the air.

Iran Supreme leader got the message and stopped bashing Trump directly for the gestures.

Destroying Iran would not take more than a week.

The US would jam their defences, take over their airspace and degrade the iranian defence capablilities by continously pounding them with targeted missiles for 24 hrs non stop.

It won't take up to a week, and it would be done from aircraft carriers.

Then Israel would be sent to mop up on the ground.

That is what would have happened if iran had killed a US soldier.
The iranians know it too.

It didn't happen, so war with them is not worth it.
