My problem is not with Chelsea spending $200million; it is their signing several players in their attacking line up.

Selling players who have underperformed is difficult because teams prefer to buy emerging young talents and if Chelsea signings flop they'd find it hard to sell those players and buy new players because of the wage bill.

Anyways, I see Chelsea sacking Frankie and selling and loaning players.

That's exactly my point. Ole has approached things differently and is not in a rush to sign players but has convinced Ed Woodward and the board to revert to the old culture of developing the academy and bringing in players who want to represent United and are not in for the money.

Ole even emphasizes on character. He wants to avoid unhappy situations with arrogant or egoistic players.

But bringing in such players would require extreme care and certainty.

At the end, after all the whole vetting and screening, the player fit still flop.

Did you watch Man United post lockdown?

Wow. United were almost every adjective you posted.

They aren't just at their best and they would get better but they need a couple of signings at least to reinvigorate the squad.

The first eleven have not all been fully fit. Several of them also have their individual problems but this would fade out with more game time.

They need to keep grinding out results till they get their mojo back. Plus, a few new faces won't be bad.
