We all made mistakes sometimes, my own experience taught me that at my age am preparing to get married at any time never to accommodate anyone of my age or older in my house.

Since it was your brother that suggested you get another apartment, asked him for money, if he respond negatively, then just try either endure till you will get enough to move out. At this point stop footing the food bill. But basic bill like electricity, water you can pay, but still asked him to do it once in a while. You are the junior, so he is responsible for your upkeep.

Second option is to get any available and affordable room even if it is single, from their build up your self.
