Because they are obsessed with masculinity, a straight skinny guy doesn't really care much about his appearance except he's insecure, that's why many people have this age long stereotype that most models are gay. There are different body types in the gay community same way there are different body types for you straights but gay body types have names e.g twink, otter, daddy, bear, jock...
