AlexBells: Islamic Republic of Arewa, of course. The goons from Arewa borrowed the money which they used to develop northern region of shithole called Nigeria therefore Arewa shall be solely responsible for the borrowed money. No silly fool will be allowed to bring the dirty name of Nigeria into Republic of Igbo land or even Biafra. |

We shall cross the Bridge when we get there. No one is splitting like everyone goes his or her separate ways. We are our brothers' keepers. NIGERIA remains intact. Just that we shall have a Federal Government carrying on limited AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for FOREIGN AFFAIRS, MILITARY AND TREATIES. Why can't NIGERIA be reasonable? We are asking you to practise PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM THE AMERICAN WAY, SIMPLE. THIS FULANI WAY YOU ARE USING IS LIKE CARRYING CATTLE TO NIGER REPUBLIC AND THE SAHEL REGION. |

NIGERIA is a ROYAL CHARTER and so cannot split. Our 36 States are Autonomous, Constitutional and cannot get out of NIGERIA without consequences. All we are saying is for the F.G TO SHED OFF HERSELF THE CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS AND RIGHTS OF THE 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES WHICH ARE UNDEMOCRATICALLY ARROGATED TO HER BY THE EXCLUSIVE LIST OF THE 1999 CONSTITUTION. WHEN APREC-AUTONOMOUS POLICING RESOURCING AND ELECTIONEERING CONTROL IS FULLY APPLIED AND WORKING AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS LIMITED TO FEDERAL LIAISON GOVERNMENT FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS MILITARY AND TREATIES, NIGERIANS WILL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. FEDERAL LIAISON GOVERNMENT WILL CONTINUE TO RECONCILE WITH THE 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES TO PAY NIGERIA FOREIGN DEBTS. |

I would imagine all debt is documented....not just all lumped together as national debt! It would therefore be dissected and treated on a case-by-case basis! Those who were greedy, self-centred and thought they were doing Ndigbo by denying us infrastructure and taking everything for themselves, will have a rude awakening when they get the bill from the Chinese and other financial institutions for the railway, roads, airport terminals, power stations, dams and refineries they greedily domiciled in their backyards to the exclusion of others! |

IGBOSON1:Outside interest, Nigeria is not mighty Rome nor Vast USSR, Nigeria is just an overpopulated liability of a country, Nigeria has no value to international community except being a place to dump their commodities and being used as a political experiment, that's why it be hard for Nigeria to break, Nigerian unity does not threaten anybody in the international community |

Intrepid01:Then Sudan had no Influnce in the Global community, you don't ever put sudan and Nigeria in one sentence, is Sudan and South Africa in the same Rank, if we talk African country that is of international interest, you talk Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, Lybia, etc.. Bringing Sudan in the picture is an insult to Nigeria, let me tell you what happened with Sudan, when there is no interest then the world sue for peace, you have to also look at the other side of illegal arms deal which Russia is the chief dealer, if South Sudan continues to be in chaos then Russia will have a field day selling arms, so the other powers may then decide to bring lasting peace. That's how global politics works |

LukasPodolski:78 billion dollars is 7.8 billion dollars per year right ? GDP of Igbo land is over 120 billion ...every serious country have a GDP to budget ratio of 30% So Igbo would have a budget of $40 billion per year ( yes because we are patriotic and merit is followed ) .....7.2 billion dollars is a debt all igbos would be proud to pay for freedom for 10 years It's possible but we won't be that charitable |
Re: If A Country Split, Who Pays Their Debt by LukasPodolski: 5:25pm On Oct 02, 2020 |
Igbochief001: the GDP of igboland is $120billion? are you drunk sir, even the oil rich South South does not in anyway has $120b Gdp, if the SS cannot boast of $120b then how would the poor and wrecked Igboland ? even as rich as Nigerian is, we are still lamenting that the fg borrowed 1.6b from China to build train, where would you guys see $7.2 billion every year to pay debt? that's approximately 3 trillion naira every year. from petty trading? where? tell me. budget of 40billon dollars per year? that's over 15 trillion naira, where una go see the money? even the budget of Nigeria is less than 10trillion naira. the richest state in igboland, Anambra budgeted 110billion naira, the total budget of the 5 Igbo states cannot be more than 500billion naira, considering that these budgets are mostly gotten from loans, federal allocation residues e.t.c. chai, looking forward to the day you will stop saying nonsense. Nigeria as a country rich in Oil and gas, agric produce e.t.c we are all complaining of this huge loan, we are afraid that China will take over our country.. because the loan is too much. but one idiot from the second poorest region (economic wise) think they can singlehandedly pay this huge debt... I don't know what is wrong with you, honestly. you keep saying nonsense with confidence, 99% of your comments including the Mrvitalis alternative are filled with ignorance, you really need to change. |
