Quality of players is the crux of the matter. If Nagelsmann coached our players in the EPL, he will do better than Ole as he has proven he can hold his own even against the best not only in the Buli but the UCL.

Ole on the other hand is struggling with far superior players which points to the fact that he will certainly do worse with lesser quality players.

The second bolded line shows that Ole is not a good manager. Madrid were always getting knocked out in the UCL by Lyon until Mourinho stepped in. I'm certain in those years, people blamed the players for their weak mentality but not after Mou took over the reigns at the Bernabeu.

Mourinho is a manager known for improving the mentality of his players, so mentality may have been a factor in the improvement of the players.


The fact that Julian is supposedly doing well with lesser quality players in a lesser quality league doesn't mean that he will do well with our current players. Emery did relatively well in all the teams he coached before Arsenal, but as soon as he came to arsenal, his reputation was somewhat ruined and he discovered that coaching in the EPL is not quite like coaching in other leagues. EPL is so physical that no matter the tactical genius of the coach, the players cannot afford to be lazy or weak mentally. Once your players have a weak mentality, they will never be able to bring your tactics to life.

I am not saying Julian is not good coach, what i am saying is that you cannot assume that Julian will do well with our current players just because he is doing well with Leipzig. There are too many factors to consider and football isn't so predictable. Who would have thought Emery would fail so woefully with arsenal?
