"She sleeps with her baby girl on the floor of the hospital" Tha fucck? Imagine the plight of the little one and its mother sleeping on a tiled floor on cold nights? Indeed poverty is a bastard....If you've ever been poor and you later got rich, trust me you'd know the latter feels way better . Don't allow someone to brainwash you to settle for poverty. Poverty is vanity too... That being said, why is the article silent about the baby's father? I'm sure the woman didn't impregnate herself. Beats me how struggling couples have unprotected sex/shun contraceptive use. Like do you just have a passion for bringing kids to the world to suffer? Smh 102 Likes 7 Shares |

saphiere:Interesting advise, except that I don't see a man anywhere in your article. I see a young girl who became a mother, I see a girl who carried a pregnancy, I see a girl being held hostage inside the hospital, I see a girl sleeping on the floor with her baby... when she gets out, this girl is the one whose lifestyle has been altered as she has now being thrown into the world of motherhood. Let's not forget she probably doesn't have a job/business. Meanwhile the hunter is still out there living his life with no care in the world. Did he commit a crime? NO Will he be arrested? NO The day he finally backtracks and decides to be part of the life of the child and the girl, will people advise her to forgive and accept him? YES Who lost at the end of the day? ONLY THE GIRL. Yet for some reason, it's men you're advising not to fück... Will you advise a lion not to kill/eat humans, or is it humans you advise to be careful and protect themselves around lions? 115 Likes 18 Shares |

saphiere:1. If the hospital management believed she had a job to go to which would help her raise money to pay her debt, I'm pretty sure they would have found a way to reach an agreement... hence my use of the phrase 'probably jobless'. 2. If she was raped, it would have been stated in the article especially as the police and a child's rights foundation is on her case. 35 Likes 2 Shares |

crackhaus:1. Are you not in Nigeria? Which hospital will let you go without paying your bills even if you are oil company worker? The article says she is a hairdresser. 2. What if the man responsible had deceived her with fake promises like MOST Nigerian men do? And the poor girl scum to his pressure and fell for his tricks? 9 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Nursing Mother Detained For 7 Months In Lagos Hospital Over N90,000 Unpaid Bill by crackhaus: 2:56pm On Oct 02, 2020 |
saphiere:1. The article says she is a hairdresser because that is what she told them. I don't think they believe her. If they did, an agreement would be made, I didn't say they would let her go immediately. She even looks like someone without a family/house – there's not enough assurance to even let her step out to buy ordinary food for herself, and she's been treated like a prisoner. 2. Whose fault is that? The person who fell for sweet-mouth and opened her towtow wide, or the person with the sweet-mouth? 23 Likes |

crackhaus:1. This is Nigeria. Even if she proves to them she is working (hairdressing) no hospital will allow her go without paying her bills except she drops something as collateral. 2. It's both parties fault. You can't blame her alone and forgot that the act was done by two people. 10 Likes 1 Share |

saphiere:1. Lol, I love it when I'm able to nudge a person into typing out the point themselves. That is what I mean by 'an agreement'. 2. Please focus, no where have I stated she's to be blamed alone. This conversation began with you advising men to zip up when the person obviously suffering here is a lady, get it? When it comes to sex, two people are responsible for the act, but one person is responsible for the stress of being pregnant – hard to digest, but it's what it is whether y'all like to admit it or not. 28 Likes 3 Shares |

As it is, i don't care about who got her pregnant. whether he's absconded or not financially capable of paying up the bills> the treatment meted on her by the hospital is totally bad and as strong i'm, i almost cried reading this news. God, please provide for those who do not have............... 5 Likes |

chai, people should always make financial plans before thinking of impregnating themselves to avoid this kind of story. before anyone quote me or before castigating the hospital. cause health workers can strike tire if they're not paid their salary and other incentives. and this is one of the source of revenue for health centres. God no go shame us. 4 Likes |

The medical doctor should not be blamed for any reason whatsoever for detaining the mother and the baby after delivery. If anyone should be blamed, it should be the government. Atleast he helped deliver the baby successfully through CS operation using the private hospital's resources. 11 Likes |
