Plug any decent role player there and it would have been same result.

Books and documentaries have nothing to do with what transpired on the court. The Bulls brought him back to relevancy and he would have never been this pop culture phenom if he continued wasting his contributions in San Antonio. He was there in San Antonio in a pretty solid team. They won nothing. Why didn't he propel them to anything?

The only reason we are here talking about Dennis Rodman today is because he played for the Bulls else he's just Ben Wallace with a little more rebounds

Guy, Rodman was a proud 2 time champion who didn't give a shit and carried a chip on his shoulder when the Bulls came for him. And he told them straight up that he didn't give a **** if he played for them or not.

MJ insisted that they must get Rodman by all means. Pippen felt it wasn't the right thing considering the bad blood and enmity between them and between the Pistons and the Bulls but MJ convinced him in the end.

Point is not to diminish MJ's greatness but to quash all this talk about Lebron needing help to win a Championship.

Damn. This thread though. This is the largest aggregation of receipts of people talking trash about LeBron and the Lakers. I mean, goddamn! I'll so troll the f*ck out of people's lives when the Lakers win the championship because y'all deserve it.

LeBron is the only all time great who is not allowed to have teammates.

Its crazy. I don't think Jordan is the GOAT, but do I hate him? Heck no. Some of these guys have a visceral hatred for LeBron, I really don't get why.

Funny thing is I noticed a trend of certain "analysts" who have consistently picked against the Lakers up until the end. Guys like Tim Bontemps and Nick Friedell have been mocking the Lakers since day 1, and even in these finals they picked Miami to beat them. They can't even hide their bias. That idiot Chris Mannix said the Lakers were more likely to miss the Playoffs than win a Championship. I won't even count clowns like Rob Parker and Skip Bayless who claimed LeBron will never win again because he went to LA for movies because those two are just irredeemable scumbags. Now all these guys will turn around and call it the easiest championship ever. LOL

Didn't want this to be the case but it seems this whole FMVP thing is causing dissent between Bron and AD. It's going to be awkward on that podium when the winner is announced.

I do not think this is so o. AD said the confrontation was all about their defensive lapses and they trying to hold each other responsible like they've always done.

I really hope so. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but AD was on fire in the third and barely got much of the ball in the fourth. They were pissed about defensive lapses last game but the body language was different. And Bron having to go whisper something into ADs ear after the game was over and when asked about it he said "in house", if it were about defensive lapses I don't think he'd have to have to be so obscure. Like I said, maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Things like this are bound to happen but I hope they figure it out. They have something special here and I would hate to see them ruin it. If Bron does win FMVP like it looks like he will, his legacy is set in stone and I hope he hands all the keys to AD next season and allows him to fully come into his own. Push him for MVP and DPOY. Allow him to fully take control of the team and maybe he can ride his coattails to a few more championships. Bron on the other hand can focus on things like another assist title, another all NBA team and maybe even another all defensive team (should have made one this year but for those...narratives) I know the Lakers will get a marquee free agent in 2021 so they will be a championship team for the foreseeable future. Two or three more championships aren't completely off the table for them.

You guys always want to create issues where there are none. Like WTF

So because of some obscure body language that you alone can decipher and a mystical ability to read minds you are concluding there are problems between both ?

If at least you had some legitimate reasons to suggest this, we would understand.

This is exactly the kind of posts / messages / half baked analysis that MAY actually create the Issues between the two of them.

Can we enjoy the show and allow the nba decide who shall be MVP ? At this point AD seems to have a slight advantage (due to Game 1), and Lebron already has 3 FMVP, how can that be an issue.

Unless you Guys actually want that friction so bad, then it makes sense!

Me? Wanting friction between Bron and AD? LOL

Everyone who watched that game could see how visibly upset AD was. Its not mind reading to speculate that a team with two superstars can have friction at some point. With the way things played out in the fourth you can't be wrong to assume the lack of touches got to him. Then the whole whispering thing which just added fuel to the fire. That was the first thing that occurred to me, and I went online and it turns out the a lot of people thought the same, so its not rocket science.

AD is averaging 33 12 and 3, Bron is averaging 29 11 and 9 in fewer minutes. I assure you, no one will give AD a FMVP vote with the way things stand. It would be unanimous.

AD is a generational talent entering his prime. It would be asinine to believe he wouldn't want to come out of Brons shadow and build his own legacy.

I wonder how someone can look at a team having LeBron and AD and think they're more likely to miss the playoffs than win the championship. I wonder how, all of a sudden, Kawhi had more championship credibility than someone who has been to eight finals in the last 9 years. More than someone who carried J.R Smith and Matthew Dellavedova to the finals. Everybody somehow was just willing to be blind to the fact that Kawhi didn't have to play KD in the finals.

Rob Parker can't be redeemed. His hatred for LeBron is the worst I've seen among journalists. If I wasn't seeing him on TV I would have thought he was a regular commenter on this thread.

LeBron taking over the 4th quarter has been a recurrent thing throughout this season, even into the playoffs. That's why LeBron barely scores any points in the third, because he almost entirely defers to AD in the third.

Yeah but remember after hitting that shot he said he wants moments like these. I dont think any superstar will appreciate not having at least a few touches in the fourth. I don't know, yesterday just seemed weird. Hopefully it was nothing too serious.

Recency bias. They have been trying to crown a new king for a very long time now. People always want something new and shiny. Love how it kept blowing up in their faces.

The funny thing is the person you're speaking of is a big fan of Rob Parker. They actually interacted on twitter.

They all saw how Skip made a career from hating on LeBron, but Skip still does it with some kind of knowledgeable takes. Rob and the likes are just plain haters with no tact. I'm still amazed at how LeBron has refused to acknowledge Skip the whole of his career, not even a tweet or disguised shade.

Skip is just a professional troll. He knows which buttons to push and he knows how to make his clown takes seem legitimate. You have to admire it because even that is a talent in of itself. Many have tried to replicate it and failed horribly. Skip Bayless is one of one.

Yea. Hopefully. And I didn't like how LeBron attempted and missed two buzzer beaters to end the first and second quarters. I think he learnt his lesson in the end of the third and gave to Caruso (of all people grin) who went ahead and committed an offensive foul. Our more natural shooters like KCP and AD should have those moments.

I think Chris Broussard is becoming like Rob as well in his hatred for LeBron, I've been wondering how he's changed in the last few weeks from admiring LeBron and the Lakers to saying that LeBron can never be MJ on Tuesday because he can never match 6-0. This was a guy that was giving daily updates on Kawhi's movements to the Lakers in the off-season, and for him to suddenly switch to the other side could be because of spending too much time with Rob. And Chris has been salty since the Clippers blew the 3-1 lead as well, I still don't get why a supposed Pastor could have so much hate in his heart.

Well, if there's one person whom I know doesn't hate LeBron, it's Broussard. He says LeBron is not the GOAT, and at least he's being objective about it. But what I can't take from these people is the notion that there's nothing LeBron can do to surpass Jordan. A lot of analysts have been asked that very question and they keep saying it's impossible. Is that not the highest bias you can have? What if LeBron does a 3peat? What if he remains a top 3 player for the next 5 years and wins a couple of regular season MVPs and finals MVPs?

NBA FINALS RATINGS GAME 1 by year since 2016:

2016: 17.4 million
2017: 15.7 million
2018: 17.4 million
2019: 13.3 million
2020: 7.4 million

I think it will bounce back next year. These are just weird circumstances.

He is the most desirable and probably most feasible but he's not the only one. Theres a reason Lord Pelinka ensured all the Lakers contracts are ending in 2021. They're making a run at someone that's for sure.
