Sacking those guys will destabilize the club but changing managers every 2 years is not detrimental to stability. In your own words, kontinue. cheesy

If you dont understand my posts, dont quote them. Meanwhile, other clubs that sack managers every 2-3 years, dont they win trophies?

Anyway, I rest my case on top your matter, before you tell me to shut up.

Well, that is how it works. Execs dont get sacked easily, managers and players leave. Meanwhile, if you sack the three of them, our commercial side will suffer, and there is no assurance that out football side will pick up. Do you want to go through both issues at the same time? We might just be competing with relegation bound clubs within 2 years.

Meanwhile, Woody and Arnold dont negotiate, you can turn your attention to Matt, he takes his time. Only issue is, if you sack him, and put a football person, nothing will change, particularly with transfers.

We need to understand 2 things: we dont need a football person before we can get it right because most successful clubs dont. Also, we need to continue to sack managers for us to win trophies because most successful clubs do it!

So we should continue sacking the managers but we shouldn’t sack any of those 3 university roommates?

Even though we struggle with transfer negotiations and make a mockery of the process the people who are most directly responsible for this should continue with their jobs?

If Lampard does not deliver a trophy this season, Chelsea will sack him, no time for legend and DNA stuff. Everybody knows!

We should stop all these emotional and historical stuffs, stop blaming the owners and execs of the club, and hold our managers responsible, especially since they continue to buy players every season with nothing to show for it.

No one should come tell me that OGS needs 11 new players before he can win Carabao cup.

And yes, Lampard and OGS have spent almost same amount in the last 1.5 - 2 years.

He did well to an extent last season and the players he signed were key parts of it, why handicap him when the team clearly has gaps to fill?

Doc. First, regarding our transfers, I think you should ignore the media. They are just trying to make the narrative sound believable. Second, i think you should agree that they've been buying players since Fergie left, so what's the issue with our transfer process? Third, it's not transfer issues that is affecting us, it's the fact that we keep walking and talking DNA.......we are so used to the Fergie era, and we are not ready to move on!

Well, they kept the 'working' system until 2015 or so, Woody was in charge of everything till they made Matt the 'director of fooball'. Matt gets a list from the manager, secures approvals from the CEO and Woody, before going ahead to negotiate and close the deals.

So if them call club wey get DoF you go list Man United?

There is one stupid media guy that keeps saying that Lampard has been backed, OGS has not been backed. Like, does it make sense?

Lampard did not sign any player last season, he signed 200m+ players this season, OGS signed players last season and this season spending close to 250m in total.

Steve Bower is just a sucker!

I don’t listen to the media. You can go back to 2013/2014 on this thread. I was criticizing Woodward even before it became fashionable to do so.

My views and opinions are mine. It is not about just buying players but having a plan and going about it smartly.

Inter Milan and AC Milan usually buy 7,8 players every season but we all know there is no plan to it hence their long term struggles.

I have heard you. This wahala started in the year the Glazers took over. Everybody (the press, fans, supporters, even David and Fergie) did not like them one bit. Fergie just came to the office one day, and resigned! no succession plan, despite the fact that he was with the club for over 2 decades. He now recommended Moyes, so the world can say 'yes, we told you'.......also Gill left at the same time so things can crumble.....

There is nothing wrong in sacking a manager, appointing another one, spending heavily to replace 4-5 players and hoping for trophies, if no trophies, then rinse and repeat! Nothing wrong at all, because other clubs do it, and it's working for them!

My statements were actually for two different premise.

1. Our player recruitment is shitty.

2. Our board is shiity, doesn't look like they have a plan.

You are creating an argument in your mind and now coming to meet me to argue it. I am not arguing whether or not we should sack a manager.

My question is why are Woodward, Arnold, Judge immune from being sacked or even criticized?

If one considers that all these comical transfer windows came under their stewardship.

They appointed these useless managers.

They bought these non-performing players and offered them huge salaries, making them unsellable.

Even you once said Woodward was not smart when it comes to contract negotiations.

At what point do we point fingers at them as well.

Sacking and appointing managers at will is no guarantee of success if there is no planning.

AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid (in the pre-Simeone years) will teach you this.

The problem is not the sacking of managers but the sacking and appointment of managers without a plan.

4 consecutive managers with 4 different football philosophies should tell you there is no plan.
