But he returned to north London with a knee injury and has not yet made his second debut for the club where he made his name,

Bale was joined at Spurs by Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Reguilon, who made his debut in the Carabao Cup win over Chelsea on Tuesday night.


Initial talk after Bale joined Spurs was that he would be ready to return after the international break, which starts after this weekend's Premier League games.
