@AkeNathan, since you doing a 5 year Pharm program, you're qualified. But just as @GboyegaD said, it's not that easy to get. You'll first need to get a visa to the States and write and pass TOEFL (you'll need to write TOEFL in the US). After that, you apply for FPGEE which costs around $1200. You will also need to verify your transcript with ECE. That costs around $150. Once you pass FPGEE, the next step is to do you internship hours and write the NAPLEX exam. To do this, you'll need to get Social Security number...and I don't think that's possible if you don't have the necessary visa for it (student or work or immigrant visa). The cost for NAPLEX is around $625 or there about.

It's not that easy but doable.

I'm very highly sorry to re-visit this retired theme.

I know it's old but please refresh your memory, wise one.

Which between the bolded in your post Do you think is the best to use and achieve all these long term exam boards. My mind tells me student visa ( masters.)

The most important thing is to start early. NABP is slow and irritating.

Is it same as NAPLEX

NABP is the body that coordinates the body. It is the National Association of Board of Pharmacy. NAPLEX is one of the exams you do. The process is a bit long but it is worth it.

Oh okay no wonder. The site is very sensitive and you have to be very careful when on it. I believe it's for security reasons.

Due to our COVID-19 response U.S. Consulate Lagos is only conducting visa appointments on an emergency and extremely limited basis as determined case-by-case. Our team will monitor responses to this form and will respond to applicants who are determined to have a need for an emergency non-immigrant visa appointment.

Important information for visa applicants regarding COVID-19:
The U.S. Mission to Nigeria understands that many visa applicants have paid the visa application processing fee and are still waiting to schedule a visa appointment. We are working diligently to restore all routine visa operations as quickly and safely as possible. In the meantime, rest assured that the U.S. Mission will extend the validity of your payment (known as the MRV fee) until December 31, 2021, to allow all applicants who were unable to schedule a visa appointment as a result of the suspension of routine consular operations an opportunity to schedule and or/attend a visa appointment with the already paid fee. Please continue to monitor our website for information on when we will return to routine visa operations.
For emergency student visa appointments: Due to COVID-19, temporarily, we will accept electronically submitted I-20s from Designated School Officials. Applicants must print out the form electronically submitted to them, and bring this hard copy to the interview. If granted a visa, the visa holder will need to bring this hard copy with them to the border to present to Customer and Border Patrol.

Pls Who applied for admissions into any undergraduate program, how many did you applied to and how many accepted or rejected you? Did it come with funding?

Hello @GboyegaD. I wanted to ask how plausible is it to apply for a B1/B2 visa to write such exams. I ask cos I have a licensing exam in one of the health professions to write in the US next year, but just wondering if the VO will not see it as having an "immigrant intent" even though I can't work with the license (when I get it) until I get a work visa.

Have you or anyone you know applied based on this purpose before?

Please let me know.

Regards,

You could apply for tourism visa and plan your vacation around the exam. I'm not sure they will give a visa just to come write the exam.

Does it mean that someone can go for a visa interview with an electronic I20 document?

Honestly to be safe, you should just get the real, original I20 cause that email that went around last week was very clear on their expectations.

According to the email, they didn't even mention new I-20. They said even if the start date has passed, they'll need the hard copy. So it means the fall 2020 I-20 is still valid. What you have to do is make sure your new start date has been updated with SEVIS by your school. With a new I-20, whether e-copy or hard copy, your start date has been updated automatically. So I'll advise going with both the old I-20 and a print out of the new one.

Or he could go as a masters student and write his licensing exams simultaneously? Hopefully convert his visa status to work visa before the 2years student visa elapses if he passes his licensing exams.
