They play good football, they press well and physically they're stronger than us.
"They're a top team.
"I think we played well, but we lost the ball a lot in the second half, so it's difficult to get into a rhythm in the game.

Koeman's words above.

Bolded is real.
That was one of our problems against Bayern and Liverpool.

A lot of people might not agree with me; but even if we have all the most skilful players in the world, we would struggle against teams equally technical but much physical and stronger.

Yes na. Most if not all of our calamitous outing in UCL were all down to poor physical preparations. Not minding our recent progress in that regard, Sevilla yesterday showed that we still have a long way to go to be at physical level needed.

Seriously the most successful teams in the world nowadays mix skill, athleticism and physicality.
See Liverpool, See Bayern.

Physical and stronger in what sense? And what do you think are the solutions?
I still need answers to these questions.

Liverpool and Bayern are poor examples.

Why? While Bayern win the Bundesliga almost every season, like Barcelona do, Bayern last won the Champions League in 2013.

How about Liverpool? Liverpool don't even win the Premiership every season.

Lol, concerning the 8-2 i am short of words, but maybe your opinion will be mine, barcelona where trash abeg, thank God some old legs are out

Fati rodrygo are good players, viniciuis is trying to proove me wrong by scoring for the past 2 games but i am still not convinced by his end product, but we watch as there is much room for improvement as he is still a kid

Fati rodrygo looks like the real deal , but i might be wrong thou, make we dey observe vinicuis

Would've added Felix but i don't think his environment is doing justice to him at all

won't lie but Fati is very composed in front of goal which we saw last season on Rodrygoal too, the issue with the latter of recent is lack of playtime in Madrid, seeing how many wingers we have compared to Barka

Vinicius is way above both of em in dribble and taking on players one on one but his Finishing is laughable

looking forward to our encounter this month end

Yes vinicius is better than both in taking on players

Zidane should be playing rodrygo abeg, he just prefers vinicuis

Joao felix is looking like a 110 million fraud to me ,maybe because of the teams he plays for

Joao felix will be a better player playing for madrid mancity or even my barca

Meanwhile hazard better buckle up unless he wont last at madrid, you heard it here first

Hazard is like any of your 100 million buy, none of us know what to say or do but to just sit and look how it will all turn out ... Hazard is class same as Griezmann before Barka

same way Felix is struggling in Atleti is the same way he'll struggle in a team like Madrid cause he's not even a good finisher but yes he'll flourish in Man City and Bayern or even Dortmund .. believe me he'll be a low-budget Greizmann with you guys LoL

and you guys should give Puig more gametime .. i've never admired a Barka youth the way i do that short boy (he's a mini Modric in my eyes)

Lol na koeman hand e dey to give puig game time sha and i believe he will have it soon

Well maybe we have to tell Hazard to score from the emergency room or Dembele from the Ambulance Van

Vinicius can't play any worse at Atleti, infact he'll be their best player there believe me, Felix doesn't offer what Vini does in Madrid (no creativity like Vini or even in goals)

The better you guys realize that Coutinho is just advertising his assets for his new employers just like his first season with you guys, the better for all .. he's going the James R. way (tho' James is doing pretty well at Everton) or even worse

That's my point.

I had never seen a Liverpool side this with this much blend of skill, athleticism and physicality before this Jurgen Klop' s Liverpool.

Even Bayern; they have got quite a lot of athletic players.

Sure I know Bayern hadn't won in Europe since 2013. But who's been winning?

Real Madrid!

Did the Real Madrid side of 2014 to 2018 not have a lot of physical and athletic players to blend with the highly technical ones?

Ramos? Varane? Casemiro? Cavajal? Kroos?

But lemme get you right I think am missing your argument;

Are you saying that attributes of athleticism and physicality play no advantages to teams in today's game?

Lol you think i am here to side dembele ? At least he was better than hazard any time he manages to play before going back to the injury bed

Dembele didnt play 16 league games and manage just a goal grin

Coutinho is in barca plans and he is doing well instead of you to be happy for the lad you are here yarning akpata cheesy

Coutinho hasnt done that badly at barca if you check his stats since he arrived, even his first 6 months was a success till the other full season where he was off an on , he is our player okay, the earlier you accept the better for you

Vinucius cant play for Atletico as per say he is world class or bigger than the team? an average player for that matter cheesy

Even richarlison and zaha that are better players are playing for crystal palace everton

Vinicuis junior that has the same stats with chuks that playing for villareal cheesy

James rodriguez left madrid because he isnt playing and you know this, so you think coutinho will leave barca to a smaller team when he is doing well and starting games? Be deceiving yourself grin

And how many Premiership titles have Liverpool won since Klopp started coaching them in 2015?

At a point in the past, it was Barcelona players were too short. Now, it is they are not physical enough.

Did you forget that before the short Xavi and Iniesta played and dazzled the world, people still believed that if you were as short as Xavi or Iniesta, you could never be great?

Is this not the reason a player like Puig will never be trusted by some coaches?

Apart from coaching deficiencies, how can you explain our UCL shambolic performances over the last couple of years??

My explanation is that we relied only in the quality of the players we had, ignoring that the game is moving to a more physical realm, where you need more than talent and quality to succeed.

The fact that i say that Liverpool have got quite a number of physical players doesn't mean that some other EPL teams do not as well, so Liverpool wouldn't just stroll to the title.
Man City do have a good blend as well.

Liverpool do not always have to win the title.

*They have lost the EPL very narrowly.
*They have won the EPL.
*They have lost the UCL very narrowly.
*They have won the UCL.
Jurgen's Liverpool have been fantastic the past 5 years.

Well let's not debate on this so much.

So Koeman's 'training with intensity' has been for what?

To fly on the pitch? Wasn't he the one talking about intense physical fitness and all?

I'm not comfortable with koeman's excuse.

That Barca side soon lost dominance when more physical sides met them. Remember 7 - 1 to Bayern? Or loss to Chelsea in 2012 or the loss to Inter in 2010? Or how Mourinho found a way to win La Liga at our detriment? Or Athletico Madrid knocking us out in UCL and going on to win La Liga in the same season. All these were physical sides. And this was against prime Barca in the past decade.
Physicality is always crucial in football
