Balogun ahead of Awaziem??

I'd rather have Balogun start against Tunisia

Why do you prefer Simy to him? Is Simy faster or better than him?

Simmy integrated with the team better than Onuachu has so far.

Truth is that some players may be playing their testimonial match for the eagles this weekend.

But still, Napoli couldn't disobey the government order...
The FA might have a brain of their own,but they are still under the control of the government.
If the government orders that they shut down the league, they will!

Napoli is just caught in the middle.

I'm know faulting the decision of the health authority.

That's a very bad excuse for Iheanacho because Osimhen also drifts into Samu's space and pulls crosses in at times. I think he has gotten so much better than the last time he started against Algeria in Uyo. He can hold up play so well and his link up is what we need.

Agu and Onyeka are the only option so what are you not sure about?

How has Awaziem been off form? He is undefeated this season in Portugal. The only match his club has lost is the one he missed against Porto. Awaziem, Omeruo and Semi are the only starting for their clubs at the moment. Omeruo missed his last match so Awaziem by default

Iheanacho is still inefficient as a lone striker, Osimhen drifts but he is comfortable in the middle. I'm not convinced about the quality of Agu, I prefer Azeez and Onyeka combination, two hardworking midfielders but technical enough to get the ball to Iwobi

About Awaziem he has been average at best in the Portuguese league similar to Semi Ajayi's performance at West Brom, Balogun has put much better performance at a higher level at Rangers

Update

✔Tosin Adarabioyo is really in a race against time to leave Man City before deadline hits. There have been speculations of Fulham interest but Fulham is also reported to be interested in a Lyon defender, Joachim Andersen in case Jean Clair Todibo doesn't work out for them. Time will tell how this all play out.

The window will only be opened for domestic transactions till the 16th between EPL and EFL clubs. So Tosin still has time perhaps to join a club in the Championship if he doesn't land an EPL move, that is.

✔On Frank Onyeka, a deal to take him to a top 5 league team is not done yet and he may miss out and wait till January if the interested side(s) cannot reach a final agreement with FC Midtjylland before deadline hits.

His agent said Onyeka is leaving but that reality may be delayed till January/February.

If he doesn't move before the end of the current window ending soon, then he will stay with FCM and execute all the group stage games in their UCL campaign before possibly sealing his long awaited move in January. Time will tell. Tick tock...

✔On Sadiq Umar, it is still what it is... The links to Almeria. Time will tell.

TheSuperNerd:
Transfer News/Speculations: Deadline Day

Note: Domestic transfer business will still be conducted in England till October 16

✔Tosin Adarabioyo to Fulham. Strong speculation.

✔Frank Onyeka to a Top 5 league side. Missed his side's league game on Sunday as his agent confirmed he is leaving and that the move will be announced soon. We wait.

✔Onazi has been unveiled by Sønderjyske. He joins Rilwan Hassan at the club. Transfer was confirmed on Sunday.

✔Sadiq Umar to Almeria. 9-10 Million euros + bonuses and a 20% sell-on clause for Partizan has been reported. Strong links. We wait.

Unless Azeez has been called up. So far, no replacement has been called up for Etebo. Rohr may settle for what he has and he also mentioned recently that Semi Ajayi can play DMF too. So until Azeez is called up, then he will stay left out of the friendlies.

He is definitely faster than Balogun..

A centre back needs to be fast..
Do you think Omeruo won't have been able to stop Messi from scoring that goal against us at the world cup he was fast enough to catch up with him??

The Algerians are pacy...they aren't your regular jam body team...

nice line up only issue i have is KC starting as top 9. he doesn't play too well with back to goal. would rather either of Onuachu or Dessers start. KC would function better with a strike partner so he can play just behind the leading attacker.

P.S. Balogun should start. Semi and Awaziem playing together is a no no for now

BascoVanVeli:
This is how I would line up against Algeria given the circumstances. I believe Agu and Onyeka might be a match made in heaven because they compliment each other's quality. Agu sits back and gives passes to start of the attack while Onyeka does everything box to box so there won't be an issue of getting in anyone's way like when Etebo and Ndidi play.

Either way it goes we will have quality players both on the field and on the bench

Awaziem is not fast, did you see how Ansu Fati skinned him against Barca? Even if you are fast you have to have defensive intelligence otherwise you'll be a running practice cone

Balogun can effectively cut off running channels and use his body to prevent strikers running in behind for a faster partner, if there is a defender I want against the Algerians it is definitely not Awaziem

The game against Barca was just one.... Awaziem had some good games in laliga too. Balogun also had some poor games in the EPL too..
The Algerians are pacy and skillful.. Games like this require you to match them pace for pace... Maybe Awaziem isn't fast, but compared to Balogun,he is faster..
