I thinks thats why Pinnick invites them, seems they wanna mend the fence broken by their greed ex Nff bosses

barackodam:

Because NFF have turned it them to money making centers. They bill them anyhow.....the only thing they care about the most is more money.

That's why they aren't bothered the league isn't televised for a whole season. Who does that?

the big issue is the lack of OB vans. The ones they had are presently unservicable.

Well, for some games, these local stations don't necessarily have to broadcast it directly.. they just have to obtain the right from the original broadcasters which the NFF and their partners have to put in place...

read on twitter that the NFF invited interested TV stations to come discuss with them the modalities for airing the match. with 4 days to go i won't hold my breath on the chances of the game being aired.

Its very laughable. 5days to the match.... even hearing it may not be aired to us. i dont want to believe that. But these guys are very much capable of such.

maybe for foreign games. Nigerian games, if Supersport does not come forget it. Unless NTA decides to perform a disaster class. But I hope that things get better in the future.

I don't think they canceled it. Dstv pulled out to focus on their league, they are now the sponsor of their league.

Not really. DSTV are still airing Zambian Super League, no?

NFF just wanted much more money than uber were collecting before. And DSTV saw it was not worth it, and pulled out

I assume u mean friendly games... Cus for competitive games like AFCON and world cup qualifiers, there are official broadcasters in charge of them....
Our local stations will have to pay to air it like NTA did when we played Benin cus CAF and supersport had suspended their partnership..

Only the Zambian league was left. I think they pulled out of the Kenyan and Uganda league as well. They told npfl that they cannot continue to produce the content as well as broadcast it. If we produce, then they're ready to broadcast.

Well, the report we saw online read that supersport were spending a lot of money to transmit NPFL games due to poor power supply and logistical problems..
And the return they were getting wasn't much..

They still televised the aiteoo cup final (Rangers vs pillars) and the NPFL playoff finals too ..

Good evening everyone, any news on the TV channels that will air Super Eagles friendly match?
The NFF just called on TV stations with intent to air the match to submit biddings for the games in Austria. Possibility it might not be aired is high but fingers crossed, hopefully they may just show it.

I believe it would still have been possible if NFF had lowered their tasking price

Akpoguma Pays Visit To Super Eagles Camp In Austria

Kevin Akpoguma stormed the Super Eagles Hotel Die Zeit, Austria camp on Tuesday ahead of Friday’s friendly encounter against African champions Algeria, reports Completesports.com.

The Hoffenheim of Germany defender is in camp to familiarise with the Nigeria set-up and bond with other players.

Akpoguma recently announced his intention to switch allegiance and represent Nigeria at the senior level.

The 25-year-old represented Germany at youth level playing for the U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 teams.

He was the captain of the German U-20 team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

“It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I am now at an age where I have already gained experience at European level with TSG and feel ready to play for my homeland,” Akpoguma told Hoffenheim’s official website last week.

“It makes me incredibly proud and I am positively excited. I’m real
ly looking forward to getting to know the team.”

The centre-back made 18 league appearances for the Kraichgauer last season, helping them to finish sixth in the campaign.

He has made three league appearances for Hoffenheim this season.

Moses Simon Is The Key To Unlocking Onuachu’s Potential For Super Eagles- Babangida Tells Rohr

owngoalnigeria.com Oct 5, 2020 9:43 AM

Former Super Eagles winger Tijjani Babangida says the Super Eagles of Nigeria will only get the best of Paul Onuachu if Rohr hands Moses Simon one of the positions on the flanks.

Onuachu has struggled to transfer his club form to the senior national team of Nigeria since making his debut last year and that has led to his axing from the squad lately.

However he was handed a call up as a replacement for Victor Osimhen who has been ruled out of the Super Eagles friendly games against Tunisia and Algeria respectively.

The call up came on the back of a strong run that has seen him scored seven goals in his last eight matches for Belgium side Genk including six in his last four games.

According to Babangida if Onuachu is to repeat same feat with Nigeria, Simon need to be on one of the flanks due to his love for delivering crosses into the box.

“ The Nigerian team at the moment has lot of wingers, it has always been like that. However they are not wingers who put crosses into the box. Most of them are wing forward who want to score as well. Simon is however different”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

“ If you watch Simon very well. You’ll agree that as much as he likes to get into scoring positions he thrives on delivering those balls into the box. You need his type for strikers like Onuachu to deliver.

“ You see strikers are built differently and Onuachu is one who thrives with balls into the box and Simon playing from either flank guarantees that. I think Rohr should think about it “.

Has he impressed in the matches he played as a lone striker? I don't think so, his best moments are ones he played behind Vardy

Balogun has been more impressive than Awaziem this season

Yes he has Bros. Remember he was the one who did so much for Leicester when Vardy got injured. Are u saying he didn't impress?

So u are no longer saying he plays in a better competition ba? When last did Leon play 90 minutes?
