no they are promotion hopefuls now just because umar joined grin
Danielnino00:

Almeria last played in the laliga in 2014/2015.. even before they made the playoff last season, they finished 10th, 18th and 15th in the previous 3 seasons..
They are more of a second division team ..
No guarantee that they will make the playoffs again this season..
It's the same thing with Ekong at Watford..
All under probability...

He can't play for the youth teams but hr can definitely play for England and if course his citizenship would have been fast tracked.
a foreign born player without English parents or grandparents needs to be educated for 5 years before turning 18 to be eligible for any of the UK teams, fast tracking the citizenship wouldn't have helped him, it happened to junior hoilett and januzaj

And when last did Cadiz play in La liga before their promotion last season? grin

See Dan... This is a step up move for Sadiq. A step up in quality. From Serbia to the Most technically proficient 2nd tier league in the world.
Ligue 1 didnt work out b'cos none of them clubs met his club's initial asking price of 15M. Now Almeria met it at 10M with bonuses of almost 5M. Look at the better prospects of this move and you will see it is not bad.

And yes, promotion is no guarantee like in Ekong's case but the point remains that Almeria are definitely of the sides to watch for promotion in the Segunda now. Time will tell.

It still boils down to the same thing...

Disappointing move from Sadiq umar despite hitting double figures last season and was one of the top performers for his clubside in Serbia.

Ofcos nothing is certain but Bottomline... It is still a good move. A very decent move and step up from a league of low quality to a league of much higher quality. Almeria also is a decent Segunda side that can fight for promotion.

Beyond all that, if Sadiq does really well in the Segunda, then a few La Liga teams may come looking in too. Partizan inserted a 20% sell on clause on Sadiq if Almeria ever gets to sell him.

So that's the overall on this. Sadiq is now Almeria's most expensive signing ever. 10M euros + almost 5M euros (fee reports say 2M+) in bonuses is no beans and definitely a statement of intent.

Very excited to see Tobias in camp. Got the notifications earlier from a close source but so much info to share at once. Lol

The latest have it that Tobias still sees Nigeria as his first choice based on a recent conversation between one of my close sources and Tobias himself and thus reached out to Rohr again. So he is in camp to connect with the guys and show his support and also show the coach his heart stays with Nigeria for the future.

Really glad for the latest happening.

The Nigerian Super Eagles is in for exciting times ahead as our evolution continues.

English Premier League basement team Fulham are pushing to sign Nigerian center back Tosin Adarabioyo few hours before the close of the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun UK, the Cottagers are closing in on Adarabioyo in a deal that could see Manchester City pocket in the region of eight million pounds.

The former England youth international had attracted interest from Everton, Brighton & Hove and West Ham in this window but Fulham are in pole position for his signature.

He joined Manchester City eighteen years ago, at the age of five, and has played 8 matches for the first team of the Citizens since making his professional debut against Chelsea in February 2016.

Fulham are openly in the market for defensive reinforcements after conceding eleven goals in the new season and failing to win any of their four matches in the top-flight.

Adarabioyo is eager to play in the top-flight of English football after tasting action in the Championship during back-to-back loan spells with West Brom and Blackburn Rovers.

Fulham have brought in Nigerian duo Ola Aina and Ademola Lookman on season-long loan deals from Torino and RB Leipzig respectively in the summer transfer window.

What do you have to say to that?

First of all what l have read from the Spanish press is €5 million Euros in the first instance not the €10 million you claim.

The add ons are speculative dependant on perfomances, that is a sign of doubt not confidence. Screen shot from Spanish press below.

My view is very much unchanged. The Segunda is a very poor league with low quality players.

I asked someone to compare the budget of Fulham in the Championship to the entire Segunda División budget. But nobody took up the challenge.

How many players from the Segunda División with all its claimed quality by some delusional contributors. Have transferred for anything above €10 million Euros.

How many have gone to the top teams in any of Europes top three leagues. Make a comparison with the Championship.

Or you could look it the other way how many quality players have left top leagues to play in the Segunda División.

The league remains poor quality.

It's dissapointing that after all the noise about Sadiq Umar, that he was wanted by Manchester United, Lille, etc. This is where he has ended up Almeira in the Segunda División.

Lol... Why? B'cos it is not the Championship? Segunda is miles and classes above Serbia and also technically better than the English Championship. This move is very decent. It is a step up.

The only thing is I wished his silly club had caved in when Ligue 1 clubs came for him earlier in the window. The 15Meuros fee scared them all away. But now Almeria came and paid 10M + bonuses reaching almost 5M. Almeria could be in La Liga next season if all goes well and that would be very nice for Sadika. They missed out on promotion last season by whiskers. It is a very decent move for him.

How is Segunda miles and class ahead of Serbian league?

With a statement on their official website, Belgian First Division A giants Anderlecht have announced the signing of promising Nigerian youngster Paul Mukairu from Turkish club Antalyaspor.

Mukairu will spend the remainder of the 2020-2021 season on loan at Anderlecht and the deal includes an option to buy for the 34-time Belgian champions.

A product of FC Heart Academy, the 2000-born striker has scored four goals in 34 appearances for Antalyaspor.

Speaking on the signing of Mukairu, Peter Verbeke , sports director of RSC Anderlecht said : "We have been closely monitoring the development of Paul Mukairu for a few months now through our scouts.

"Paul is a 20-year-old Nigerian multipurpose forward with a very great athletic potential. He combines strength and speed and shows a lot of good things about the ball.

"Paul is not yet a finished product, but he is someone we can work with. "

Mukairu was fully promoted to Antalyaspor's first team at the start of last season after regularly scoring for their U19 team, netting 8 goals in 8 games in the Turkiye Ligi U19 Elit A.
