That's the sprit in the eagle you meet players that speak German, dutch, Francois, italiano, Spanish and there are bucks of English dude ,the camp is always filled wjth vibes with these no matter where you playing you can still relate very well with the players and the coach had It been saka visited the camp I guess he Won't have go for the three lions.
True. I like it myself. The more we are able to keep the squad diversified like this, based on merit as well, the more we attract the foreign borns we want.

What has your first line got to do with my position? This is no bout, it is just me being cautious. I am not having any debate with you neither am I trynna dictate for the coaching crew.

Me wan see Tobias in goal, as I rate him higher than every other keeper out there, but then, I gotta embrace reality

Tobias might not play but Akpoguma could.

What makes it unofficial? Ain't this an official FIFA window, or don't you know the outcome of these matches also gonna have effect on FIFA rankings? Friendly matches are taken seriously these days by FIFA
It's called friendly and yes the outcome of the match will surely affect FIFA ranking, however not all FIFA's strict regulations are applied especially with players selection that's why teams can chose to go above number of substitution as against FIFA regulation.

Be told, I was the first to clamour for the invitation of Eze here.

Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that players from the so called region where talent can be found in Nigeria according to what I told here are favoured above OTHERS.

Why are you deceiving yourself? Did Eze play in the championship in 2017/2018? Yes or no?

Lolz rohr will pick the positives from both team but it likely musa will start tomorrow
Baba first fire in two goals before tijani scored
And onuachu scored a late consolation goals
Judging from performance today Matthew yakubu was solid and his distribution were top notch since the beginning of the drill sef and he continued this in the mini training he is meant to start but we all know oga rohr very conservative he might start okoye just to boost his confidence.

Very brilliant, like a seasoned pundit. You one of the reason I made nairaland my day to day news meal.
TheSuperNerd:
Now let me address this fine post.

✔The midfield you put out here is likely to be the Midfield we see against Algeria. If there would be any change at all, it would just be one. That is if at all there would be any changes.

But in the absence of no changes, then yes, Agu will sit as the DM. And he interprets that role a little differently than Ndidi. He is a bloody destroyer. Lol. grin
Agu will mark and chase down dangers and use his physicality also. A real soldier.

Frank Onyeka will be the more mobile of the two as he would act as the ball carrier/CM linking up with Iwobi more often..

Iwobi will do what he does best. Link up plays and make our attacking moves flow through him.

✔The attack too is very likely and it would be interesting to see Nacho playing with free flowing ballers flanking him with an Iwobi behind him as a kind of AM/SS. It is likely. But in case, Rohr does not fancy Nacho starting as the Top 9, then it would likely be Dessers or inform Onuachu. But Nacho is the most experienced of the three so maybe he would edge it. Time will tell if otherwise.

✔Now in defence. This is where Rohr could come up with any number of combos.

In goal, You went with Alampasu and that is possible. Dele is not new to this team actually. Rohr knows the lad well. The only time he played under Rohr was against Togo in a friendly we won 3-0 back in 2017 or so.
I think it's easily a toss up between Okoye (who has only gotten minutes with Sparta Rotterdam's reserve team in the lower leagues of Holland and with the first team in Preseason before the season proper began) and Dele Alampasu who has actually been in goal in a good number of games for Ventspils in Latvia and even in the UEL qualifiers.
Okoye is favorite but I won't rule out a good fight from Dele.

At CB, he could go with the trusted Ekong and Semi Ajayi pair as that is what our central defence has looked like in our last four games vs Lesotho, Benin, Brazil and Ukraine.

Any change could see maybe Akpoguma start or see Omeruo start. But if not, then it might remain Ekong-Ajayi. I don't know if Rohr could start with Ajayi-Awaziem... It is possible considering Ekong hasn't played much yet this season and only just joined Watford but he has been training and is fit.

At LB, our last four games saw Collins start in three of them (Ukraine, Brazil, and Benin). He missed the last one as Aina took the reins. Now Collins is available for this but he hasn't been playing yet in hopes he might get a move away from Paderborn and another Nigerian, Chima Okoroji has been playing LB for Paderborn. Now this could mean he doesn't get to play as Rohr could look to New guy, Zaidu Sanusi. Aina and Ebuehi are also options there even as they are also options on the right. Time will tell.

At RB, our last four games saw Aina and Awaziem share duties. Aina started against Ukraine. Awaziem started against Brazil. Aina started again against Benin but Awaziem came back to RB against Lesotho while Aina went to LB in same game.

Now that means the likely starters at RB could be Aina or Awaziem. But judging by the availability of options as Ebuehi is now in the conversation and has been having a decent run at Twente, then that leaves Rohr with choices to take a sweet bath in and keep us guessing a bit.

It is exciting. The Super Eagles are back with even more sweetness in depth. cool

Now is the time to put the depth to test.

Kevin Akpoguma already feeling mega accepted and proud to be a Super Eagle. Balogun doing the lord's work cool

But to he honest Akpoguma and torunarigha are the least I ever expected to change allegiance to us judging by how they turned down the idea severally when approached initially. Uduokhai was quite diplomatic when approached by leaving his options open unlike the aforementioned duo who insisted on waiting for a chance with the German Snr team
