Congratulations on your enviable feat. Like how many exercises (Reading & writing) were you able to do within the time frame of your preparation.

Does the IELTSBuddy use skype for the speaking exercises?

10 mock examinations, give or take.

For my speaking exercises,I made used of IELTSLiz... I only used IELTSBuddy specifically for the task two in the speaking session.

I've been doing some random searches into ielts long before my exam, but real preparation only began two weeks to the examination. It was two weeks of intensive study, within which I went through every available resource on IELTSLiz and completed more than 10 mock examinations from ieltsonlinetests
Thanks boss. This was helpful.

What I'll say is that as long as you're a native English Speaker, IELTS should be a walk in the park. I messed up during mine, especially my speaking session, stuttering at intervals and little grammatical errors, but still I made an 8.0 overall. If I should take the exam again, I'm 100% sure I'll hit the 8.5 overall band score.

Just practice with ieltsonlinetests.com to get familiar with question patterns, if you don't score well during practice, don't worry because the actual exam is a lot easier. Before taking my test, my highest band in Reading and Listening from online practice was 7.0 and 8.0 respectively. Both exams were so simple that was expecting a 9.0 band but I ended up with 8.5 each. Don't get yourself worked up, you'll be fine.

Watch all the tutorial videos on Ieltsliz.com. For the second task in the speaking part, I'll recommend Ieltsbuddy.com. You'll get to learn about a process that will enable you talk seamlessly within the alloted 2 minutes.

What type of questions are normally asked in the speaking test?

What type of questions are normally asked in the speaking test?

Task 1 is mostly the same for everyone. The most common first question asked is "Do you work or Study?", then based on the answer you give, you'll be asked follow up questions.

Task 2 is a random topic which you'll need to talk on, for about 2 minutes . The question cannot be predicted but my advice is have a process to tackle any question so that speaking for 2 minutes won't be a problem.

Task 3 is just follow up questions on the topic you were given in task 2.

I wrote the IELTS computer delivered test on September 26 and I have not received my results. The portal says I should contact my administrator but they haven't replied my email yet.
Phone calls are not going through.

Is anyone having this same issue? Results should have been released 5 days after the test on October 1 latest.

Are you minding those jokers? I don't know if you wrote your test with BC, but I had my test on the 25th of September (CBT) and my results are not out either, meanwhile results are supposed to come out 3-5 days after the test! I also got an email notification that my results were ready LAST WEEK Wednesday, only to log in and see nothing. I have called (twice), emailed (no answer), messaged BC on Twitter (they started asking questions then abandoned the chat).

The unprofessionalism of these guys needs to be tabled someday. I also heard it's a battle to receive your TRF, it could actually take a month or more to receive it.

Wow I'm scared o! I wrote with BC. It seems things have gone very bad cos it was not like this last year when I wrote Academic IELTS. Have you received your results now? On the portal or TRF

Lol No need to be scared - the delays are just annoying. I haven't received anything yet, either on portal or TRF.

Hello all
I guess the IDP and MOD are the same aren’t they?
Please what’s the difference between the above and British council? Are both acceptable worldwide?
Any difference in terms of comfortability and Speaking test examiners? Since all questions are the same
Will soon take the paper-based, should I reg with MOD or BC? Suggestions please chiefs

That’s strange as I wrote mine last week at Ikoya and got my result on day 4 (online) but waiting for the TRF as I need the number to cOmplete my profile . They said they’ll ship it but no word yet

Finally saw my results on Wednesday, however the battle for the TRF now begins. It honestly shouldn't take long since they are paying for a courier to send it? We continue to observe sha. I will email endlessly until I can hold the result in my hands.

Can you remember the centre number for ikoyi?
Re: IELTS: Share Your Experience, Ask Your Questions, Tell Us Your Score If You Can. by ChrisRocks: 5:43pm On Oct 09, 2020
Sadly no. Are you using that format of Year|CountryCode|CandidateNo.|FamilyName|First Name Initial|CentreCode|G or A (for general or Academic) to get your TRF number? I don't know how accurate it is sha. I think I will patiently wait for my results to be sent.

Send an email to the British council, quote your candidate/reference number and tell them you haven't seen your results. They will follow up from their end.

Congratulations helpee! Feels good to know that your band was upgraded. Congrats brother!

For those asking (I don't know how to tag names on NL, I will be glad if anyone is Willi g to guide me), I registered with bother BC and IDP. I initially registered with BC to write my exam on 20the June but I received a cancelation mail from them due to COVID scare. So I requested for a refund and immediately registered with IDP so as to meet up with JUne 20 cos I needed the result urgently.

The materials that really helped me; I wasn't able to download Cambridge resources though I heard they are great. I used IELTS Liz website, and future learn to understand the 4 sections. Learnt about question techniques and practiced. I also subscribed to daily listening practice on YouTube and this helped me a lot in my listening section.

All the best guys!
HV u received your refund?
