I have nothing against Kidd and Erica but I'm disappointed in them Sha, real stars aren't obsessed with followers and engagements, they just shine effortlessly. Beyonce hardly makes noise but anything she drops shakes the internet. I think their expectations were too high and now reality is setting in, they should have known that the traffic on their pages would reduce after the top 5 comes out. Erica should have posted often when the post-disqualification clout was still very high, that's the way Instagram works now, the more you post, the more your engagements, I took a short break from IG and my likes reduced drastically when I returned. I've heard that fame can be very addictive, some people become depressed when they notice that they're fading slowly, BBN fame doesn't last long so these housemates should either make solid plans to achieve longevity or just prepare themselves for an inevitable dwindle in their popularity. It's the time of the top 5 to shine now, very soon the hype will die down and they will all have to hustle to remain in the spotlight, it's normal to experience rapid growth in followers and engagements immediately after eviction or disqualification, I think Kidd and Erica were thinking it will last, they don't know that the growth slows down after a while. Venita has been stuck at 1million followers since July, the reunion show gave her small hype and her followers increased rapidly from around 800k to 1m in a month but the hype died as soon as the reunion ended.

Erica and her team miscalculated, they deliberately refused to post until the final week because they probably wanted to break the internet and steal the spotlight from the top 5 but it didn't work. The all-white picture she posted after the all-white party was meant to break the internet but sadly it couldn't even get up to 200k likes. They need to take lessons from Tacha, Tacha sabi this social media thing well that's why she's still one of the biggest influencers in Nigeria one year after she appeared on the show. Tacha fiercely competed with the show's winner for engagements, endorsements, awards, followers and relevance. Instead of hiding after disqualification and planning how to break the internet, she kept posting and hyping herself on social media. Tacha will post a picture and the caption will be full of shade , blogs will carry it, people will rush to her page to see for themselves and boom! Engagements everywhere! Tacha went head to head with the winner in terms of social media engagements but Erica can't even compete with Nengi now, let alone Laycon. Laycon has left her far behind, any fan war between elites and icons is an insult to icons. Erica and Laycon aren't remotely on the same level right now.
