Hello Mi Fans,
I have been unable to save contacts on my Mi 9 for the past 2days. Anyone else having the same challenge? It is really frustrating.

Adding little extra cash to 25K will get you another fone. Why waste time and money tracking it and you will be without a fone till it's found.
Why not just lock ur device with MI account and make it useless to the thief while u count ur loss and move on.

How can that be done pls

go to the Xiaomi compilation thread or browse how to disable ads on miui... you don't need an app to disable ads on miui.

They should have sent the phone to Lagos. What do you want to repair?

I prefer sourcing my spare parts myself and giving a good Engineer to fix.

Stuffs like screens and battery you can get from sellers like Macbeyland. To me it saves time because service centers are known for time wasting.

Why does my android system consume so much power?

At the end of the day, it ends up consuming the same or more power than the screen which is very unusual.

Check out the CPU Total, it is almost equal to the screen ON time.

Compare the statistics with my Samsung below.

Which Samsung is this. Older devices consume less and android system increases mostly on Idle mode.

RN8 4 X128GB, RN9 3 X64 @ 77k or RN9 4 X128 @80-82.

I don't think it has anything to do with older devices. Screen is the Number one power consumer in all android devices and android system should never get close to it.

I am suspecting it is one of the numerous bugs in MIUI 12. ....I have discovered a lot of inconsistencies in their computational stats. Same can be found in their memory management system.

And why should android system power consumption increase in idle mode when the CPU should be conserving power?

It is when optimization occurs mostly.

Take your time to read about android system

Screen is the number one consumer of any smartphone or electronic device that uses a battery, number 2 is your network i.e your antennas.

Android system no matter the Percentage don't count as much as the too above. The rest now depends on how you use your device down to the kind of apps and how optimised they are.
