This isn't gasoline but gas station in area where people are living.

juitar:
Government should put up a safety measure to protect lives and properties. Sometimes we see gasline and that's where people will build their houses

The switch from liquid energy to gas will be a sharp, painful learning curve. The DPR is overwhelmed. Any jackass with a blow torch can fabricate installations and any slowpoke with a few quid can commission them without training and certification. Going forward there will be tears.

Oh
So sorry about that.
I hope you and your family are well and safe?

May God restructure this country because these news are hitting too close to home; too close for comfort.

May God comfort the families of the injured and the lost.
Amen.

It is a great concern. To think some folks were talking about building our own nuclear reactors for power generation. Laughable.

This incident is sending a disturbing pictures about what is likely to happen by the time the federal government finish the AKK gas pipeline from the south to Kano.

Gas is very flammable.

Has the federal government under Buhari thought about the dangers of extending gas pipeline to the north?

They should not be thinking about only the economic benefit.

What about the safety aspect?

Nigeria is a country that is filled with a lot of hungry vandals who are looking for money by all means.

Have the federal government thought about the reality of vandals breaking into the AKK gas pipeline with the intention of stealing gas or the equipment that was laid underground.

Nigeria is quite a funny country.

Nigeria is not europe where russians can lay gas pipeline from russia to Turkey, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.

The northern regional economic interest must not be allowed to supercedes the safety needs of people who live around gas lines areas.

Poor urban design with no concern for the safety of people & properties. Those in charge of the city planning should be held responsible for all these consistent explosions.

When we were much younger, even till late 90s you hardly find petrol station within residential areas but now they (govt) care less, as long it is not around where they live on the island

Gas has not become this popular then

When they we ask our People to Survey, Chart land before buying they turn deaf and dump, this would have been avoided if the government have enforce a task force or some kinda penalty for People building lands besides, pipelines, powerlines, we are our own problem, there are guidelines, rules already governing offset away from this pipelines but our People choose to build ontop or near it,
Always consult a Surveyor to Avoid this kinda Environmental calamity in near future.
