davodyguy: It very okay. It's a framed structure where all the structural members are constructed before partitioning. In this method of construction the walls are non load bearing unlike the other types where the wall are load bearing. The partitions can be altered without affecting the structural members. 2 Likes |

DFAMEGUY11S: cc: boyestic: ARE WE STILL ON THIS CASE ? Here's my advice - WORSE THINGS HAPPEN IN LIFE.... their is absolutely no need for the insults and name calling on this thread. YOU BOTH (with due respect) should act more maturely and resolve. my suggestions: BOTH PARTY SHOULD PAY A PART OF THE PRICE. Dframe - there is no need to replace the good; just send his money to him, what if you send a replacement and it gets broken in transit again, would you bare the lose again? Boye - Kindly take a part to help his business - you can pay an amount that covers transport, or how much a broken system could be or just ask for (say) 70-80% refund... ANY1 CAN BE IN THIS SITUATION.... I paid a carpenter 100k to do a job for me months back - and his nos suddenly became unreachable ( I assumed I've lost my money) - months later I got a call from him saying he was sick and under went a surgery... he asked about the job, I told him I've done it.... weeks later, I called him to take 20k (which was his workmanship) and return the 80k which was for materials.. nannymcphee: Greetings! I’ve tried composing a reply to this post many times and I keep deleting it cos it’s too long. Pls can I ask these questions? 1. What’s the purpose of those staircase on the plan? And why 2? 2. I can see you’re trying to use the wall in the passage as a privacy wall. Have you considered other options that can help improve lighting condition in the house? For me, I might want introduce slat or other room divider materials in that area to screen off the living area while throwing light into the zone. Pic 1: Slat Pic 2: Wood Divider Pic 3: Lasercut Decorative Screen Partition 3. Can you try introduce a second window in the 3rd room? Let me stop here for now. 3 Likes

n3xt: Thanks for your response. I really appreciate Your dividers are lovely This is the ground floor plan. I havent spoken with the architect to explain the staircase, I myself dont understand the staircase direction or why two. I made only initial deposit so he only released the two attached pics, so I havent seen the 1st floor plan Is there a way to have an open staircase, rather than this closed one?

nannymcphee: I get it now. I think he’s trying to do something close to the attached design. Although it’s a cutout from a 6 unit of 2 bed design. One staircase should be fine and he should introduce the 3rd bedroom in the space used for the 2nd staircase beside the kitchen. Pic 1: 2 bed floor plan (upper floor) Pic 2&3: 3D Model A closed staircase is necessary for security of the upper floor. If compulsory, you can add a spiral staircase at the back of the building for the kitchen. 1 Share

I have got a question oh... almost all the new build both commercial and private.. people tile tile every where some even tile exterior of the house join. My question is, do people factor in how the weight of the tiles increases the steady load the house is carrying and tiles could weigh a ton. Do structural engineers accommodate this during the design stages of the house or people assume ehn ehn the house is strong? Just curious. |
