temi1290: Let me say this bro, if our players were english nationals i can stick my bet on it that more than 6 of them will start for england it's like you guys don't know the hype and support english players get in europe someone like Ebuehi would have been purchased by Spurs, Ndidi by now would have been hyped to high heavens and teams like Man United would break the bank for him Oshimen probably would have been in one of english elite clubs, Nacho being an english player won't suffer the maltreatment he gets in Leicester as he would have opt on loan to one of the english clubs and play regularly Samu would have been priced out of Villareal by one of the English elite clubs in fee close to 100 million pounds. Kalu by now would have been in teams like Everton and many more English born players do enjoy some priviliges and also we can tell that Nigeria and Africa players really need to put more effort than their english counterpart to get managers and club management favour 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Olulong: I said some months back during an arguement they iwobi will manage few caps for england like about 3 or 4 caps and be dumped Lingard was playing for United when called up and was doing quite okay then ,dude is crap now Hudson Odoi is a bang average player playing for Chelsea sir and Delph was playing for mancity as a makeshift LB almost all season that’s why he made it to the World Cup with them then Most of all these players wey england call now na experiment ,if tournament come many of them no go smell the team 1 Like |

i see what you mean bro. Brazilian and Argentinian players that are doing well in europe were gotten from their local leagues. i don't know if there are many players in the current brazil and argentina national team that are children of their diaspora. Nigeria has to revamp our developmental football structures. a situation where you can now barely count up to 5 players who are products of the league is bad. That said the dynamics of today are different from the 80s and 90s when we could only rely on mostly homegrown players. our large diaspora was only going to make it an eventuality that some foreign born guys would feature for us. the same we are seeing in other sports like basketball, rowing etc. The emphasis for any national team coach should be that at all times feature the best set of players that will almost always guarantee us victory be they foreign born or homebased. on development of talents back home the NFF should ensure there are proper structure not this inshallah way of discovering talents on the streets and hope he will turn out well Danielnino00: 1 Like 1 Share |

Icon4s:the problem with us in this country is corruption and favoritism for example as a coach in any of the national team, you have gotten 60% success already if you can get your team selection and call ups fair and transparent - that is paving way for Rohr and not because he is tactics wise for the Cadet teams embarking on fair and transparent scouting in just 5 states (Lagos, Kano, Edo, Enugu & Abuja) can fetch you good and quality talents that can take you far in any tourney and can even win the tournament if you can get your tactics right. that's to tell you how talents abound in the country but laziness, shortsightedness and corruption will never allow the cadet team coaches do the right things fair and transparent team selection will go a long way in helping to solve this problem in a small way and help in harvesting talents like oshimen, nacho and others. just imagine none of the players from Aigbogun under 2020 seems to be in the super eagles now?/ it means his stint was a failure 1 Like |

like i even said recently if Ekong doesn't start playing in the top division after one season then his place will be under serious threat. Ekong's place in the team now is because he has been a reliable member of the team for some years now and that will not change overnight Danielnino00: 1 Like |

Olulong:for Algeria and Morocco i think it is just a phase, there was a time when most of their players were home based but a time came for Algeria there were a large chunk of young players who had algerian heritage and were french citizens- the Bosnia coach they had then and the FA then took advantage of the opportunity to lure them and it worked that was prior the 2014 world cup and for Morocco same played out by absolving their nationals from the Dutch and spanish academics more over the welfare of players and league structure seems to be better and well taken care of in this countries (Algeria & Morocco) than elsewhere in west africa and even in some euorpean countries this has helped many of their players sit back home |
