Tomorrow is the long awaited Ondo guber polls. It hasn't witnessed as much buzz and razzmatazz as the Edo polls.

My prediction for edo polls went awry so I am reluctant to jump into another prediction but as an APC supporter, I'll naturally want APC to win. The other parties can also win based on the unpredictable nature of Ondo voters...

Before I open the floor for comments, let me briefly outline the chances of the three major candidates.

APC: APC will likely clear ondo north senatorial zone which has six lgas,win one LGA in ondo central which will be one of ifedore or idanre because of small alhaji and win at least one LGA in ondo south which is ilaje and maybe odigbo..

PDP: The pdp should take akure south and north,one of ifedore or idanre or both and get good votes in ondo town. Apart from ose LGA, I dont see them getting much in ondo north.in ondo south, Jegede should win irele and get good votes in the remaining 5 lgas.they may end up winning okitipupa also

ZIP: Ajayi should win his ESE odo LGA,ile oluji and maybe okitipupa with good votes in the other lgas.he will take ondo town and perhaps ifedore where his running mate is from.he may not get much up ondo north..

Don't brag yet oo. That's what they told us in edo, that presidenial election was different because buhari lost edo, people thought the governorship would be different. They even cited the irrelevant federal might.I'm sure you saw what happened in the end . I want aketi to win. But I always fear a state where the ruling party lost a presidenial election to an opposition like my state, despite having the ruling party at the helms of affairs at the state level.

South is the stronghold of the PDP but with Agboola not stepping down and from South....he will definitely get good votes from that Zone.

His deputy and then His party leader Mimiko are from Jegede's Central Zone and have some measure of fiefdom in Central, slashing Jegede's stronghold (which has the largest population amongst the Zones).

Tbh....It is Aketi's to lose.
None of them picked from Aketi's Northern Zone...political harakiri.
So Aketi already have 6 LGAs before the Start of Election. What do you want the Northern Zone to hold on to OR You want the South to wait another 8 years before they get the Governorship?
