Karlovich:
Gernot Rohr should start playing with 2 mobile centre forwards, playing with a lone striker is not effective especially when you have clueless wingers
Relax a4-4-2 in this game would have been a disaster.

Boy, o boy, you better go watch full match. The Algerians were useless for most of the match. We were just more useless. grin. But ofcourse you could say, relatively, they were better. cheesy
IDENNAA:

Those Algerians will not give you room to operate...they are ffucking aggressive and tough to play. We need to play them very physical...dem nobi Oyibo...blacks in oyibo skin. Cant you see Ajayi was getting frustrated, so was Balogun but Akpoguma na tough guy and he remained discipline , checking their speedy runs and intrusions. You need a 100% disciplined Nigerian side to put these Amazigh in their place. If you play cool with them they will bloody you up while screaming pains!

And can you be so tall and not know how to use your height advantage, according to Evra some people deserve some hot slap.

We couldn't even threaten their goalkeeper with a decent attempt, Rohr needs serious work with these players

Points to note:

1. The team last played 11 months ago
2. Had training for 3 days before match
3. Several new players
4. Match was a test game with less emphasis on result (highlighted by the coach)
5. Our key players were missing

These points led to:

6. Low team cohesion, communication, and spirit
7. Exposed unwanted players
8. Identified our weak areas ( midfield and set pieces issue which hasn't been solved yet)

Well, the points above are no excuses for the shambolic display. However, we should note that today's match was fairly okay considering these factors. By the way, both teams were not impressive either.

Lastly, the technical crew still has a lot of work to do to bring the team back to order. So I agree with your point about Rohr. cool

PS: Tunisia beat Sudan 3-0 today. lipsrsealed

Rohr is just an average coach at best. He lacks a lot of qualities and it was so glaring today. He only knows how to recruit players but doesn't know how to use them.
I honestly expected him to have improved .

Onuachu is a scam. He only came to embarrassed himself more. Very slow and he can't press. Who says he can hold up play . Always afraid to do so.

Chukwuweze is not only an average player but he lacks common intelligence. He's soo predictable. Always trying to dribble even though he's facing thousands of opponents Why not be unpredictable for once. Anytime he's with the ball his marker knows what's he's going to do. Such an annoying one-way player.

Semi Ajayi is not a midfielder. He put every foot wrong. He was crap!

Onyeka is nothing. A disappointment. He was no where to be found.

Ekong doesn't deserve to be assistant captain. I've never seen such a flop wearing a captain band in my life. I'm sure he felt the embarrassment.

Ebuehi is good.

Balogun still has it.

Agu is below average.

Akpo hmmmm seems like a ridiculously overrated player. But I won't conclude yet. Need to see him again.

Onuachu staying too long on the pitch gave us no hope of equalizing.

Iwobi is a baller.

Okoye wasn't bad. He really tried. for a player I didn't expect much from.

I'm not an advocate for rough play, it doesn't work these days take Cameroon for example. we should be playing decent football, we were very poor in key aspects of this game

Iwobi was anything but phenomenal today, saying he was decent would be me being nice. He certainly didn't play his role today, zero creativity going forward

He can do a 4-3-1-2....the wingers cant cross....ditch dem and let the full backs do the running on the wings while the spare midfielder cover up for any overlapping full back

I don't agree with you, our lone strikers were isolated throughout the game, and our wingers that were meant to support the attack were useless, having two strikers would have helped if one of them can drop into the midfield to assist with pushing attack

We could not cope with Algeria with a 3 man midfield and you want to reduce them to 2?

The one dropping in the midfield was iwobi. 4-3-1-2 or a 4-3-3 were the only answers

Then they should play closer together....use the triangles or diamonds and outnumber their opponents....Barcelona in the iniesta and Xavi era rarely cross the ball....they just outnumber their opponent in every phase of the game and strike with ruthless precison....Rohr should develop an identity for this team by playing to this team strengths!

if you are expecting this from rohr, sorry o you will have more disappointments

AIG07:
Leon Balogun is a solid defender(one important player late Keshi gave us) . A deep in form has made many to underrate him.

He may not have quick feet but his defensive ability is ahead of Ekong, Awaziem, Omuero and Ajayi.

I know many will disagree with this. But that is what it is. He has kept clean sheets in all the minutes he has played in for Celtics this season-that is no small feat.

I won't be surprised if he starts tonight.

This is a player many don't want in the team.

I repeat, For now, Leon Balogun is way ahead of other CBS. TheSuperNerd doesn't call him the Dean of defense for nothing. Was totally unplayable.

A fit and playing Balogun is class above others in the team.
