No decent greenfield airport can be built in 12 months unless it is going to be like another one of Obiano’s substandard projects with a runway, a taxiway and a small building as terminal. The Chinese financed 80% of the terminals being built at Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Enugu. It took them better part of 5 years to finish it. The Americans construct all year round. JFK Terminal 4 was a greenfield project that took 2-3 years to build and it is massive. eduj: 2 Likes |

Onitsha is a distribution center for the South East. The issue for any multinational is whether to open a factory or a sales office. Many have sales offices there. To open a factory you look at power supply, roads, logistics, tax authorities, quality of employees. Anambra scores high in terms of employees but low in terms of power supply and city roads. Logistically the greatest boon is that inland port where you can bring containers from the sea. Anambra should learn from what Edo is doing where they are building a greenfield industrial layout with gas and logistics integration. AmericanQuarter: 1 Like |

Just as always your posts are useless worthless and incoherent. We don't need your validation even if our airport is built under one month, leave it for and face your miserable life. Mktinsight is a cursed frustrated bitter hopeless miserable old man. Right from the start of this thread he came here with his witchcraft, even when we opened omambaladotcom and left, he still abandoned nairaland and joined us there with his witchcraft. We returned to nairaland, he moved again like an evil spirit and came back here. He tried all he could to confuse people here about how the airport was needless but he failed woefully, his rants are on nairaland while the actual construction was going on out there. He has been rejected by everyone. Just look at your post up there and see the "likes" you garnered in that single post against that witch called mktinsight. He has been rejected, so ignore his posts. eduj: 5 Likes |

mktinsight:Do you know their mobilization and terms of their contract?..... I still believe that Obiano can accomplish this project as planned next year!. He cannot allow Ebonyi state to complete theirs before Anambra state owning to the general view that he is not doing well in the areas of mega projects unlike his Ebonyi counterpart. The major facility in any airport is the runway and followed by the Terminal building. The Anambra state Airport runway is 3.7km although shorter than the Ebonyi' s which is 4.2km and if he delivers that with a small terminal building which will be expanded in the future will be a great achievement by him!!! 9 Likes 1 Share |

Honestly, I am enjoying what I am seeing and reading about Anambra lately, I just pray the zeal to develop keeps burning in us; umuigbo. Obiano did a yeoman's job with ANSIPPA and the results have been commendable. I can't wait for the east to have a cosmopolitan 'city-state' like Singapore, or maybe Lagos. #lovefromEnugu 6 Likes 1 Share |

investnow2013: Dave Umahi said the terminal building of Ebonyi International Airport will be the biggest in Nigeria ! I love Dave Umahi. He dreams and performs BIG. God bless him and Ebonyians. Well it is up to Obiano. I hope he will not allow Ebonyi to shame him in the name of rushing to complete Anambra Airport. I do not mind our Anambra Airport terminal being a bit smaller than Ebonyi one but it should not be anything different from the Smart Airport on the 3D design rendering we know of. 5 Likes |

NIWA BOSS, GEORGE MOGHALU INDUCTED AS A FRIEND OF DIOCESE ON THE NIGER. Sunday being 4th of October, 2020 was a memorable day at All Saints Cathedral of Diocese on the Niger of Anglican Communion as I was inducted into the illustrious forum of "Friends of the Cathedral by His Lordship, the Bishop on the Niger, The Rt Reverend Dr Owen C. Nwokolo. The award, which was inaugurated by Late Archbishop C.J Patterson was established to celebrate men and women who have distinguished themselves in Commitment to human Capital Development, love for the things of God, Philanthropy and well-being of the Cathedral and humanity. I thanked the church for the honour bestowed on me and promised to do more to sustain the legacy of partnership I always enjoy with the church. I promised to remain resilient and committed in my effort to make sure Anambra and South East is opened for Economic prosperity through the waterways. The highlight of the occasion was the best induction and presentation of a special plaque to recipients by His Lordship, the Bishop on the Niger. Amongst the inductees are my very good friend, Dr. Tony Nwoye , Prof. Charles ikechukwu Esimone: the VC of Nnamdi Azikiwe university, Awka , Prof. Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba: the former VC of university of Nigeria , Nsukka , Princess Stella Ada Oduah, senator representing Anambra north Senatorial District, Mr. Peter obi, Former Governor of Anambra state and Hon. Total rubbish. You sound like a broken record repeating your silly lines over and over. You are scared of me because I tell the truth no matter whose axe is gored. I was the one who campaigned for the International Conference Center in Awka. I campaigned for the government to use Onitsha Inland Port in 2014 as a trans shipment for all containers to Anambra, Delta, Imo, Enugu. I campaigned for extending gas pipelines from Imo to Onitsha as a start. Unfortunately, Obiano has showed poor prioritization and execution in all his projects. He is surrounded by thieves and psychopants who praise him for jobs badly done. He is NOT going to complete that white elephant airport project next year despite all the braggadacio for the same reason it has taken 5 years to build Second Niger Bridge. Engineering is not by mouth. Put 200 contractors there it ain't going to be completed in even 3 years. Otherwise Fk you and your miserable, poverty stricken family. oneeast: 3 Likes |

The Chinese are the world's fastest builders and they used their own money to build the airport terminals in Nigeria as part of a loan deal negotiated by Stella Oduah. I never knew we Igbos to be so dull to believe that you can build a commercial airport in a year of two. It's not feasible anywhere in the world not unless you are building a bush airport where relief planes will land. That's one. Secondly people have to wonder why Obiano just woke up at the eleventh hour to rush and build an airport in his last term in office. WHY? I will tell you two things I suspect. I suspect his psychophants and people are looking for an avenue to loot the government budget before they leave in 2021. After all this is an airport with no publicly known design, project sum or award process. Then he is trying to save APGA before almost certain defeat in elections next year. Take that to the bank. investnow2013: 1 Like |

Mktinsight Mind you there are different contractors working in different axis, dimensions on the Airport site. Hope you knows that many nationalist, including former aviation minister Femi Dani Kayode, Airpeace boss Allen Onyema, Present aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika etc has commended Obiano for embarking on such project after visiting the site. Mktinsight I think u should go to the airport site and see what they are doing there and confirm your self the quality and pace of work there. The runway alone has a guaranteed lifespan of 100years. 4 Likes |

Mktinsight, is the kind of miserable character that put poison in people's drinks. Such character should be avoided online and offline because he could contaminate one with the evil spirit in him. He was all along on this thread saying that we don't need airport, why is he suddenly worried that the airport is being built and set to be delivered soon? Ask yourself why his sudden concern. I am very consistent. I have my sources in government. An airport is not just a runway it will take at least 36 months munimum to complete aprons, taxiway and ILS. It will take another 18 months to build a proper terminal. ANSG is making an attempt to build an airport as a campaign strategy. Let them release details of the project if they are truly honest. Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast: 8:28am On Oct 11, 2020 |
You have a mental problem that's why you think you are consistent. You said here that 2nd Niger bridge is a quality project because it has taken time to be completed. So because Buhari delayed the ongoing bridge when he took over is your understanding of a quality project. Enugu airport runway was done for one year, but the same runway was done in Abuja international airport within 2-months. To you, delay means quality. I suggest a total brain washing and resetting for you. What's remaining for you is total street madness. Why are you worried that APGA is building projects for campaign purposes, so they shouldn't show us projects they have done before asking for more votes in future? You see why everyone considered you a cursed frustrated old man. Nobody is gonna give a witch like you the details of the airport project. The contractors handle the airport project are not hidden, go there and see them and ask any question. [s] mktinsight:[/s] 2 Likes |

Those fighting against Trump are not dropping the issue so why should I? I am against any project of unknown cost, negligible benefit and I will continue voicing my views. ANSG building an airport when 99% of Anambrarians suffer bad roads and use Chinese bus and Keke is fantasy. Moreover He can't even complete Conference Center or 13km road between Umunya and Awka and he plans to finish airport? Get ready to be sorely disappointed. Like Rochas Okorocha you will see lots of abandoned projects this time next year. eduj: 1 Like |
