Our best midfield couldn't get a foot on the ball against Algeria in AFCON. That most are disappointed that a midfield of comprising of Agu/Ajayi/Onyeka failed to do the job is rather baffling.

Rohr tested new players and some old players in new roles. It didn't work, but we learn and improve.

Leave ajayi alone as he isn’t a midfielder

U must live in a real toxic area because I've never heard the word being used in a viewing center setting. Northern guys in my area love the super eagles more than most people from here. They even endure being called Boko Haram, something I definitely would slap somebody for if I were them.

Why can't we find it in on the internet again? Abi the powers that be have removed it? undecided

Aina is far better than Ebuehi in your opinion.. but Rohr prefers Ebuehi to Aina at RB..Rohr is the coach, you aren't...end of story!

Search and don't be lazy.

Aina is far better than Ebuehi. If Rohr like make em use Ebuehi but it doesn't change the fact that Aina is still far better.

Are u serious? Please go and rewatch that match. Paul Onuachu won every one of those useless long balls we played to him.

Paul is taking the blame for Rohr here. The reporter asked a simple question, why don't u get crosses into the big man? Rohr went on a rant on how we don't play long balls and howPaul should adapt to us. Well lo and behold we played ping pong for 90 minutes so the question begs to be asked, what are we really doing here?

I didn't see one single decent cross yesterday.

The match proved that Aribo, Etebo, Ndidi, Iwobi are miles ahead of any other midfielders we have on the team. During the match, the midfield was totally non existent; it was so poor. This put so much pressure on the defence, rendering the attack impotent.

In my opinion,

The team does not need Onyeka.

Tijjani is too young to be on the team; he isn't ready.

Although Onuachu has generally not shown quality, he was not well fed in this match - uncoordinated midfield and ineffective wingers. He should not be judged harshly.

Our wingers need massive improvement on decision making.

Sanusi needs to be carefully watched; i'm not sold on him yet, though he was one of the better players.

Semi Ajayi should not be given that role again.

Iwobi was one of the better players, but there is some carelessness in his play, he needs to work on it.

Ekong is match rusty, and it showed, it's quite understandable.

The defenders generally played well.

Akpoguma was played out of position. Judging him through this match would seem unfair. I am confident that he will make us proud in subsequent matches, thus, proving his obvious qualities.

The team needs to work seriously on set pieces.

Balogun is one of our very best. Fashie club football; it's almost always been irrelevant to me, in his case.

The only midfielders we have are Iwobi, Aribo Ndidi, Etebo. The others are making up numbers, and are seriously a downgrade on the aforementioned ones. We need serious scouting in this department.

Our team is far from perfect o! Our players are generally not at the level a lot of fans, even here, believe and project them; Most are not yet polished, the most the coach can do is maximise their abilities.

We need more competition in every department on the team, make we nor dey do shakara at all!

I decided to wait a while before I make my judgement.

1. My fake theory still holds grin Nigeria never does well in our first friendly. I am sure they will beat Tunisia.

2. Rohr like Keshi: if the big boss had made some of these decisions Nigeria would be on fire today.

3. Our players were sluggish and lacked a clear cut plan. Outside Balogun, Sanusi and Iwobi everybody was acting like a diva. Ebeuhi carried body but he was like bad Ahmed Musa when he got on the ball.

4. My prescription is that we make Victor Osimhen captain like right now. I don't trust anybody else to push and drag this team to success not even Rohr. I can't imagine him accepting the nonsense we played in the final third yesterday or our lack of bite. He will shout, he will tell u how he feels and he is not scared of anybody. He has the profile and he is everything we should want our players to be like.

Ur last statement sums it up...but "d team we av world class talents ",we don't need ighalo and vmoses grin grin grin.. No go make us hear word,u will think we parade d likes of c.ronaldo in our ranks grin

Like u rightly said, any good player who's willing to play for us irrespective of his age shld b given a chance to showcase what he can do...

We need serious competition in each dept..hence my prayer for bukayo saka to pledge his allegiance with us..but now dt he has gone to England... We need someone to compete with chukwueze;(I c him as one who's too predictable and relaxed in our team),maybe lookman can give us d competition we need in dt role or someone else cool

Nidid as at now,has no real competition in the team...

No, Agu is a better DM when it comes to creative play. Agu is a pure gold in the midfield....club dey confuse una

Onuachu isn't the kind of striker that thrives in a team where there is little creativity in midfield and poor crosses from the flank...
He shouldn't have started yesterday...
He is a good player, but in games like this,u need a striker that can drop deep and hustle for the ball and allow your wingers cut in occasionally...
U saw how Osimhen effortlessly provided two assists in his last match against Lesotho?.
Our attack generally was poor yesterday... Iwobi was d only midfider that tried to get the ball forward in the first half... Onyeka and Ajayi were just noddin and kicking the ball around...

And you think the addition of a player with near zero creativity will fix the problem. Put Ndidi in a game like that and he will turn carpenter. These Algerians are not to be toyed with ooo

He scores for his clubs because he is good

Onauchu mo see any clear chance at goal as there is no flow of pass

Eod
My opinion Onauchu scores at his club because they play to his strengths, Why do you think Dessers who was one of the highest goal scorers in the Dutch league can't find his feet in Belgium.
Same thing applies down here in the SE Onuachu can't perform here because the SE dont play the way his club plays, so he will surely find it difficult, the guy is not a bad player after all.
It all depends how you build your team, another coach might come to the SE and you will be surprised seeing Onuachu scoring goals.

I started watching the match around when Agu was introduced and I didn't know who had the 10 jersey until after the game...and I thought we had a proper 10! I hope Rohr starts him and Tijani in our next game. Why would a coach play a defender in the position of DM when you are spoiled with players who thrives naturally in that position. It's senseless! Ajayi should have started with Balogun in defence or Akpoguma. Personally, I don't rate Ekong but he is very strong at defending and aerial ability

But that’s true nah ,we go by rohr formation and this is even a friendly

You watched the afcon and you saw how Balogun was benched ?

You think rohr will bench ajayi ? When ndidi returns ajayi will go back to cb and it might affect Balogun

Ekong have a bad game and you wanna use it to judge him ? Don’t Balogun use to have bad game or have you forgotten his school boy error at the afcon ?

Ekong cannot start for any bundesliga team but he used to start about 30 games per season for udinese

Stop saying what you don’t know oga

Did you even see how ekong was solid against Brazil ?
Ekong have not played any football this season, the last time he played was about 3 months ago and these people want to kill him for a single bad game.

Rohr believes in bond than talent. If you can come to camp to laugh, crack jokes, dance well, socialize etc he will make sure he retains you in his team even if there's no space for you. He will certainly convert you to a goalkeeper if possible.

How on earth will you ignore a Laliga player who even performed well against Brazil?

Stop holding grudges, mi hombre. It's a friendly, not a competition. Akpoguma and Maduka are still eligible to represent Germany.

I'm not sure I saw him lose any aerial duels(not saying he didn't), but I know all the GK aerial balls he won, he nodded the ball back to the Algerian players. Everything. At a point, I kept wondering if he thought it's just to nod ball or know that you nod ball to the direction you have your players. E tire me
