40mins gone. No wing play, Iwobi and Paul pressing alone on 3 occasions against 3 defenders excluding the keeper.
They looked fitter, faster and hungrier.
Their midfield has been compact.
Poor decision making from our wingers are putting on our midfielders.
Paul has not done badly at all as he was being painted here yesterday. Maybe second half.
Our LB looks like the real deal but I will wait for the 5th match he plays to judge

Balogun is pure gold. I don't care if he sits on the bench all year round at his club, I'd start him every single time.

Ekong needs a replacement ASAP. Footwork was already average, it's now getting terrible.

Zaidu has potential. One for the future.

Ebuehi is good. Maybe still a needs more playing time to return to his usual blazing hot form but the positive signs are there.

Onyeka was anonymous.

Ajayi too.

Chukwueze is overhyped.

Samuel Kalu too.

Onuachu should quit football and open a furniture shop at Ariaria market Aba. Too tall to have sense. Should never be seen near a GWG shirt again.

Iwobi is our only creative player. Needs more consistency though.

Simon Moses is more reliable than Chukwueze and Kalu.

Iheanacho has potential from set pieces. I prefer him to Onuachu. Needs to work on his weight too.

Rohr is just an NPFL coach in white skin.
Comments like this were posted yet somebody wants to paint a picture that Chukwueze and Kalu weren't given stick.

Everyday is the same. It's your approach that determines how a day goes.

We are asking for consistency; not excuses. Two things are painful here: the loss and the way we lost.
Midfield is the engine room of any team, one of them was a debutant the other one was playing there for the first time for us and the only regular was the one that impressed, Agu who have always been a part of the team came in and impress, do you think it's by coincidence? Kalu/Sanusi and Chuks/Ebuehi don't have any form of chemistry between them, would have been a great miracle if they had managed to do anything worthy. If Rohr had started Kelvin according to many prematch rumor, it would have been a massacre

First half summary.
We HAD NO WINGERS IN THAT MUCH AT ALL.
PAUL WAS NOT IN ANYWAY THE REASON FOR OUR BLUNT ATTACK.
THE TWO MIDFIELDERS PLAYING WITH IWOBI OBVIOUSLY NEED TO PLAY TOGETHER MORE AS THEY STRUGGLED
WE NEED MORE WINGERS WHO CAN DO AN AVERAGE JOB CONSISTENTLY.
IF OSIHMEN PLAYED TODAY HE WOULD SURELY HAVE PRESSED BETTER THAN PAUL BUT WILL STILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE IF THE WINGERS PLAYED LIKE THEY DID TODAY.
DEFENCE WISE WE WERE NOT REALLY TROUBLED BY WHEN THEY BALOGUN HANDLED IT WELL

And the Algerians were not poor in the first half by any margin, they just did not shift gear.

Simon Moses in for Kalu who played pretty poor for someone with such much skill and guile

The biggest take I have from this game is that this Nigerian team lacks a clear structure and identity after being coached by same person for 4 years!!!

This team relies too much on individual brilliance which isn't quite good enough.

The Senegal side of 2002 and the Ghana side of 2010 had a of hanful of highly talented players but the rest were average at best but they outperformed more talented teams by having a clear structure and sound tactics.

We were lucky Algeria weren't this organized during the WCQ.

I think with Rohr in charge...the Super Eagles will be a decent at best but I don't see his team winning the AFCON or turning heads at the World cup if the team qualifies.

No, Agu is a better DM when it comes to creative play. You watched the match with a lot of emotions and soon as the game was over you started started writing a lot of things without calming down to gradually study the match. Ndidi is a defender. Agu is a pure gold in the midfield....club dey confuse una

He made some valid points...
Rohr has been with the team for 4 years and we are still not sure what style of play we are using...
Is it tiki taka? Gengenpressing? Counter attacking? Park the ball style?

Sentiments speaking. Be balanced,oga

If anyone should be asked to be balanced...it has to be you that is even rating agu ahead of Ndidi

Please just leave me ooo the eyesore I watched yesterday from a player wearing the No.9 Jersey is not something I will love to see again.

Another opinion on Agu's performance from yesterday's game. Cc. Danielnino00 has sleekly ignored to comment on Agu's performance. He feared if he said something good about him he would have proven me to be right...lol

I am not asking him to turn himself to magician

He played poorly yesterday and reduced our chances of equalizing/getting a goal

Forget Ndidi, we all know he hasn't really performed for Eagles....nobi so ? Go back and watch the game again and tell me what you think about Agu's creative and majestic move with the ball...everything is not block and tackle. Football sense must count , too

was it the match I watched yesterday that even play dropped the moment iwobi, onyeka left the pitch we could not even make anything useful anymore from the middle

Agu has never impressed me and yesterday was not different.

I already said Agu was okay...u are saying he was majestic...
Majestic bawo?

U only watched 20 minutes of d game and u are now saying he was majestic...

Ajayi was the one playing DM,Agu came in for Onyeka at CM in the second half..

All this attempt to spite Ndidi in a game u didn't fully watch is comedic....

Prove me wrong and stop sweating like a dog...lol

Start watching when Agu joined...my focus is in creativity not block and tackle. After all ,your blocks and tackles didn't help you yesterday. It's very clear to see the team lacked creative players....nobi so ? They totally dominated you in the midfield( the real battle field). You think Iwobi can play that AM in the presence of these brutal desert Amazigh's....they will smoke him alive!

When I said there'd always be space for a fit and in form Balogun as he brings balance to the team - someone here claimed i only said so because I wanted to see my "favorite oyinbo wall" smh.
Now look how much dick riding Balogun is getting today.
Anyways I need to watch the replay of the game as I dozed off around half time.
The obvious thing I noticed was that midfield. A pivot of Onyeka - Ajayi was just sickening even for a conservative coach like Rohr. I hope all you Etebo critics see how important it is to have someone who can dribble out of the press.
I'm not too worried about the result as it was a friendly with a makeshift side against a top top Algerian team.
Let's see what Rohr does on Tuesday.
