Bro...agu played nothing come to think of it someone who didn't even watched the match spilling such words

Anything to spite Ndidi is okay by him..

Only those who want to decieve themselves will say we didn't miss Ndidi,Etebo and Aribo yesterday...
None of our current midfielders can step in for them...

I already said Agu was okay...u are saying he was majestic...
Majestic bawo?

U only watched 20 minutes of d game and u are now saying he was majestic...

Ajayi was the one playing DM,Agu came in for Onyeka at CM in the second half..

All this attempt to spite Ndidi in a game u didn't fully watch is comedic....

You have integrity, so , show it! Saying he was "okay" was being economic with the truth. Agu has both creative defensive abilities. The boy rugged ! The boy is a tough nut....you have eyes and I know you saw how he moved with the ball , the confidence , quickness and awareness...lol. I am done. Keep playing tackle and block and see how far.

So what did agu create yesterday?[/quote

And to even read him berating Ndidi for Agu made me laugh .it is crystal clear that Ndidi was missed yesterday likewise etebo and oshimen ]

Oga Mazi...Agu played nothing even Tijani showed much brilliance than him... that midfield was a free all for the Algerians for the last 20 mins you watched

The way they pressed wasn't so in the first half because it became weak toward the later part of the match

Someone came straight from a 2 year injury and effectively sent Aina to the bench and he's somehow not better?

No one sent anyone to the bench yesterday, it was a friendly match na.

When serious match dey, we go know who be who.

grin

was it the match I watched yesterday that even play dropped the moment iwobi, onyeka left the pitch we could not even make anything useful anymore from the middle

Agu has never impressed me and yesterday was not different.

No, go back and watch the match again and pay attention to individual play. I have seen it like 3 times since yesterday!

Iwobi posed a threat to that goal keeper and even had a shot on target which onaichu never had even Tyrone had a shot on target

Onaichu was waiting to be feed 10 chances so that he could convert one

Someone like oshimen and nacho would have drift the middle or see need to interchange with the wingers just to press on and make a goal

But the clumsy tall striker was just there doing nothing

Off course I don't like seeing him in super eagles shirt

When I said there'd always be space for a fit and in form Balogun as he brings balance to the team - someone here claimed i only said so because I wanted to see my "favorite oyinbo wall" smh.
Now look how much dick riding Balogun is getting today.

Anyways I need to watch the replay of the game as I dozed off around half time.
The obvious thing I noticed was that midfield. A pivot of Onyeka - Ajayi was just sickening even for a conservative coach like Rohr. I hope all you Etebo critics see how important it is to have someone who can dribble out of the press.
I'm not too worried about the result as it was a friendly with a makeshift side against a top top Algerian team.
Let's see what Rohr does on Tuesday.

I often wonder if Balogun can play in midfield. I mean his ball playing and distribution will be good in midfield. He is one of the few defenders we have that can play in midfield. Rohr should have used him there instead of Semi Ajayi. His game has some elements of good midfield play.
Any coach will like a player like Balogun and use him in different ways.

Exactly it was a friendly match
because we all know when it comes to the super eagles nacho is a better striker than the guy who wore the 9 Jersey yesterday

It is just so unfortunate that we don't rate Aina here...Aina is fine and decent player and I am so sure he won't have done badly yesterday had it been he played

Bros , there was never a time you had the midfield under complete control. The reason is quite clear, NO CREATIVE MIDFIELDER IN THE PACK!

Balogun is slow though and not pacy so he can easily be outrun dude may even get a red card there playing as a DM

Iwobi did quite well...It shows he really missed Ndidi, etebo/aribo and oshimen in the pack especially the mentioned midfielders

As long as we have problems with creativity in midfield, Rabiu Ibrahim will remain a recuring decimal that refuses to go away. I am not his fan but safe the foreign based players, he seems to be an alternative. At least he is playing regularly for his club.
I know people don't want to here his name but our limited options in midfield makes him a viable alternative.
He is the only player we can invite from an obscure league since we are poor in this area until we get better options

At least the last qualifiers were better, lets wait till November when most of our guys will be back before making conclusions.
The team should be able to play with a structure and identity irrespective of who is playing....what if most of the so called main guys get injured in a major tournament?....Besides,most of the main guys were available in the last two tournaments and the team was still an eyesore!
These players are supposed to be the best from the lot and should put in a decent performance if they are properly coached!

LOL....you've started again
how come you're the only one seeing how good this players (zubby and now mikel agu) are and those big clubs in Europe seems not to see them and scout them for their teams

Your hatred towards Ndidi is well established take it or leave it he was missed yesterday

He made the error by fouling that Algerian player that lead to the goal that stopped us from the finals but if you look well your mikel agu had more fouls during the qualifiers than any midfielder for the few minutes he played

Mention one...

Ajayi was the one doing the tackling and block . Agu was playing CM..

U didn't watch the full game but won't relent in your effort to rubbish Ndidi..

The biggest take I have from this game is that this Nigerian team lacks a clear structure and identity after being coached by same person for 4 years!!!

This team relies too much on individual brilliance which isn't quite good enough.

The Senegal side of 2002 and the Ghana side of 2010 had a of hanful of highly talented players but the rest were average at best but they outperformed more talented teams by having a clear structure and sound tactics.

We were lucky Algeria weren't this organized during the WCQ.

I think with Rohr in charge...the Super Eagles will be a decent at best but I don't see his team winning the AFCON or turning heads at the World cup if the team qualifies.

Thanks....my exact thoughts on the direction this team is headed despite the fair amount of potentials in this team!

Both Samuel kalu and Simon are trash

How you rate a National Team Football is definitely limited to performances in tournaments, Friendlies are used as preparation for these tournaments and I'm more about what tournament he showed that he was our best defender at.

Qualifiers tournament and their tournament proper are more significant than any friendly regardless of how we perform in these friendlies And Ekong also played well in the world cup and even gave us a crucial win to advance to the Quarter final in the Afcon

Organization is everything my brother..

The Algeria team we faced at during the world cup qualifier was equally star studded, but weren't organised enough... .
This one has some quality players and are well coached ..
Make I no lie, they might retain the AFCON trophy in 2022 if they keep it up...

Their local coach is also better than Rohr

He plays to their strenght.

Nacho doing some good pressing but the same fate is still happening as he hardly gets the ball to feet

Easy bro, no doubt Ebuehi is good but sometimes we need to take it easy when analysing our players.

Ebuehi is fit and better this season compare to Aina who just had one or two games this season.

Aina is a decent young man, but, he can so lose concentration in dangerous places.
