Good day to every one. I appreciate the efforts of the gurus in the house to couch others to achieve success. i also have a concern i will like everyone to comment on or advice me on. My Visa was denied last two months and reasons where economic ties and study/career progression. AkA; purpose, ties. I want to re-apply and i want to change my course of study, my bsc is in technical education, and i have 2yrs experience in project management. But now i want to go for pgd in education so that there will be a study progression is this ok or i should stick to the projects management i used to apply initially? |

If I decide to use my mother as a sponsor and possibly ask her to deposit like 5 million to my account then should I submit her bank statement, her employment details and reference letter from the bank or just reference letter and employment details ?. How do I explain the source of this fund ? Stay safe and remain blessed. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 3:52pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
Onweke: Pls how much is in your account at the moment.. I will advice against that deposit cos its too sudden and the visa officer will wonder why was the lump sum deposited at a go.. If you have a good amount in your account, u can use your mum as a co-sponsor. The only way to dump the lump sum is to do it over time(few months) before printing the bank statement. You won't need mums bank statement and other bank docs if you move the money to your account |

chloe3: Sorry for your denial. In the last app, what program did you gain admission for. Is it project management? If yes, you should stick to it cos changing to education when you have no experience in it isnt cool |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Onweke: 3:59pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
I already have around 7 million before I submitted my application in June 2020 and my application was refused due to finance and weak home ties. I vexed and invested 2m in business. So the fund in the account is 5m since July. I want to reapply but need to top up the funds to 10m. Looking for a possible way to do it professionally without another refusal. I have a wife and a 5 month baby. Wife is working, Mum is working. Anon123: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 4:14pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
Onweke: What was the denial reason? You cant just drop 5m into your account at a go.. Thats why I suggested using your mum as your co-sponsor while you maintain the main sponsor status 1 Like |

Hello Waliyusuff It would be helpful to share the visa officers final comment from the GCMS notes. On the last page, in bold letters. 3.6 gpa is a 2.1 if I’m right. Then you should be aiming for a master’s or give a convincing reason why you’re going for a PGC The SOP was really weak. I can’t help with it unfortunately, as I’m not knowledgeable enough. Also 9m is 30k cad. If your tuition is 18, plus 10k for living expense, that brings it to 28, that’s a bit close. How about your wife and kid, how would they be taken care of? This is something you must show. Also, was there any lump/huge sum deposit in the account? That could be another ground for rejection despite adequate funds. If you input any lump or huge sum, you must explain the source with a proof. Best wishes Waliyusuff: |

Hello @babybenbaby Sorry to hear about your refusal. Wait and see what your gcms notes would say. If you graduated with a 2:1, you can try going for a master’s instead. I can’t help with SOPs as I’m not knowledgeable enough. Hoped someone in the house can help. Best wishes babybenbaby: |

Good afternoon, everyone. Please i need clarification on document upload. I have 3 documents to upload with respect to admission. An unconditional letter of admission, a tuition fee schedule for the 2 years of study and evidence of payment of admission deposit. 1. Should I merge and upload all 3 documents under "Letter of Acceptance"? OR 2. Should I upload only my admission letter in the "Letter of Acceptance" section and the other 2 documents in the "Client Information" section? I'll appreciate your kind response. |

impeccablerose: Hi Rose, Your Admission Letter is the only document to be uploaded in the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) Upload Column except if the Tuition Fee Schedule comes together with the LOA (unmerged), then it can go together. Evidence of Admission Deposit (Tuition Deposit Receipt), Tuition Fee Schedule (if not together with ur LOA) is to be Merged with other finance related Documents and uploaded in the Proof Of Means Financial Support Upload Section Check the Link below for a Sample of Arranged Documents Listed & Merged in their respective section https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/202#92527802 1 Like |

Good evening all, My GCMS notes finally came out (unfortunately I can't post here because of personal details intertwined in the final paragraph). I was refused for: Purpose of visit Family ties (I applied with family, but hubby won't be staying with us) However, from the notes, I noticed that an error was made regarding my previous studies, which now made my proposed study not to make sense. I indicated that I have an MBA from school A, the VO noted that I had an MSc Finance from school B, whereas my proposed study was MSc Finance, therefore it wouldn't make sense to be pursuing the same course again. Also, following from above, they felt the amount of money I plan to spend on my family (again using the erroneous previous study) was too much investment to add value to me and may not yield enough to offset the costs in the future. Please, dear experts, how do I address this? Thank you for your anticipated responses |

skull4eva: Only issue I sense here is that, won’t the VO raise eye brows on why your uncle is going to use almost all his funds on you, plus you guys don’t bare same surname. Why would your uncle having 65k spend about 50-60k on you? He would be left with 5k after sponsoring you. Those he not have dependents of his own? This is a question begging for an answer bro.. this is RED bro |

Wondakid56: Family ties has to do more with properties than finance, properties what a good value that may cpell you to come back, likewise if you married your wife and kids are the strongest family ties... so did you submit properties form dad or you? |

Efair12: Ma’am the rate of refusal would always be high, so just play your part, package well, get every thing necessary. Then apply.. after that pray to whatever you believe in for mercies and Favour cos at that point it’s no longer in your hands. Wishing you the very best. Godspeed 2 Likes |

Chocs:Thank you for your reply, Firstly we have been running the account for over 6 months and it has a turnover of over 100m. For the kind of business we do and based on the history of the account, having 20m in a short period shouldn’t be a problem since money comes in from time to time. My first year fees and living expenses of 10000 dollars is 13m Secondly, I had my b.sc in Tourism and events management and want to pursue my masters in Tourism management Thirdly, I have a land property and I also have a reference letter from the commissioner of tourism in my state. Lastly, I just want to be sure if I should go ahead with the application giving the time frame or still defer since my program starts 1st of December. Please let me know if there’s any other advice you have, thank you and God bless |
