. True.!!!!!!!

Oldboss:
Brian Idowu (Played all three games, 226
minutes)
Made his Super Eagles only in November
2017 but started all three games from the
left-side of defence.
Had two poor games, the 1-2 loss to
Croatia and his first-half performance in
the 2-0 win over Iceland.
Defended well sometimes but offered
nothing going forward. Could lose his
place if a better talent at left-back emerges
for the Super Eagles.
3/10
Shehu Abdullahi (one game, 90 minutes)
Started the World Cup as Super Eagles first
choice right back but was dropped after a
really poor first game against Croatia.
Played without vim and verve in the 1-2
loss to Croatia, and was very easily beaten.
1/10
Tyronne Ebuehi (One game, 45 minutes)
There have been lots of questions why he
didn’t play much for the Super Eagles at the
World Cup. Obviously the best fullback in
the team but was on the bench for the
whole of the first game and came on in the
second half of the second game and had a
huge influence on the game.
Was really solid in his only 45 minutes of
the World Cup, defended well and was a
threat in attack.
4/10
Kenneth Omeruo (Played two games, 180
minutes)
Was on the bench for the first game and
came on in the second to have a really
good game where he defended very well
in a three-man defence system and capped
his performance with an assist.
For Nigeria’s third game, he was caught
sleeping when Messi scored for Nigeria
but managed to play well in that game as
well.
Has managed to play himself back into
Gernot Rohr’s starting XI plans for the
future.
4/10
William Troost-Ekong (Played three games,
360 minutes)
Played the whole minutes of Super Eagles
campaign at 2018 World Cup. Guilty of
chaos and tidiness in equal measures.
Couldn’t help out with set-pieces in the
first game and was guilty of not staying
alert to stop Marcos Rojo from scoring the
winner in the 1-2 loss to Argentina that
sent Nigeria out of the World Cup.
Still, only 24 and is set to be very vital for
the Super Eagles in years to come.
4/10
Leon Balogun (Three games, 360 minutes)
Wa really a disappointment for the Super
Eagles at the 2018 World Cup and was
really their poorest central defender in
Russia.
Lacked the required leadership at the back,
failed to deal with set pieces and struggled
to cope with the pace for most parts of the
three games.
3/10
Chidozie Awaziem (No games)
A very fine and young defender, Awaziem
didn’t get to play any game for the Super
Eagles at the World Cup. Was a very needed
figure for training sessions where he was
very exciting.
0.5/10
Elderson Echiejile (No games)
Ws very lucky to make the final 23-man
squad for the World Cup and was on the
bench all through. One of the veterans on
the team and a respected voice in the
dressing room.

What is this o??

Too late for that?

Thank you, my dear! I had the same thing on Twitter as well. The NFF need to allow Rohr to bring back his assistants. Coaching is no longer a one man job in modern game. They can leave Yobo to understudy Rohr but the man needs a real supporting cast.

Sometimes you just have to marvel at how far Nigerians can go to defend mediocrity.

There is this culture with Nigeria fans. They will do everything possible to defend their own(a player that comes from their state/LG).

Me can't wait to have Victor Osihmen, Joe Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi back to the team.

Position still up for grab
ST back up
LW
RW
AM back up
CM Back up
DM Back up

Rohr and Yobo have a lot to do.

Onuachu, Iheanacho, Chukwueze(he was totally disinterested in the match), Kalu, Musa, Agu etc are not players a sane coach can bank on.

If yesterday match was a must win one, that would have been the result.

If you think It's just a friendly, I'll suggest you go watch Turkey VS Germany.

There is no acceptable excuse for that showing.

Agreed without reservation but one question ❓

Is that the best team that we could put together considering the number of potential players we have across Europe.

Gernot Rohr as a coach is a dunce.

Why the hell was Agu benched?

He just surrendered the midfield to the Algerians to reign supreme for no just reason. Found it difficult stringing 5 passes together. angry angry

Rohr can't take us anywhere. He needs to go.

Nonsense!!

Yesterday's match was a total waste of time for me.

For those saying it's just a friendly, shouldn't forget how we played rubbish on our way to the WC and extended it to the competition proper.

#Rohrout!!

LMAO....nobi me talk this one. If na me dem go say I be cracka.

You have Tijani and Agu but chose to start a player who has been playing in defence. Very useless coach.

Yeah Adama Traore might be useful when they play teams that have physically strong players.
Spain with all their skills sometimes struggle against teams that are strong, athletic and determined in
defence and with his pace, strength and athleticism, he can be useful.
Sometimes, a players style of play and how he can help out and how he contributes and fits
into the teams tactical formation is more important than how good or talented he is.
Football is about how the skill set is useful in a game or tactical formation and not rating.

at one point he conceded a free kick in a dangerous position when he couldn't control a pass well. Good decision by Wan Bissaka if he is honest with his decision

Rechecked. Like I responded to Barack, it's not only about head getting to the ball. None of those balls translated to possession for the team

So how is that his fault? At the end of the day there is no stat such as aerial balls won that translate into possession. He won the ball and it was his teammates job to get on the end of it.

That’s not his position in the eagles

Leave ajayi alone

Na there e Dey play for super eagles since ?

Pour your frustration somewhere else

It’s a no brainer for you expecting ajayi to do well in the midfield when your so called real midfielders where trash

Abegi

Who are you calling frustrated? Get a hold of yourself man. angry

Yes, Ajayi has played in the midfield for Nigeria, even though it's for some few minutes.

Yea, it's truly a no brainer. There was simply no excuse. (if you know the meaning of the phrase)

Ajayi should be doing a lot better, same with Akpoguma, he's not new to the RB position, I can't give him a soft landing.

Bro....I don't agree

Aina is a good and decent player
just that he sometimes loose concentration at the back

But in a nutshell I will want rohr to start him against Tunisia

Lose concentration and then, the team concedes a stupid goal right?

I want Aina out of the team.

Aina was crucified because he caused a penalty during friendlies.

Ebuehi was poor in some of the friendlies too.

Aina is trash to only novice like you. EOD

Ebuehi wasn't so great in the friendly match against Serbia, he was only coming back from injury, in fact, the camera caught him wincing in pains.

Aina was poor against Argentina and also against Congo, he never had any commanding presence in any of the other games he played, whereas Ebuehi was wowing us game after game.

I made a relation. He was dropped because it's a friendly. Despite Kevin and Okoye playing for us, it's not a competitive game, and they can still play for Germany.

Don't get yourself worked up. Wait till a qualifiers before you start raising hell

You are the one crying sentiments and powers that be when your boys aren't selected, not me...

Am I the one that claimed talent can ONLY be found in certain regions in Nigeria?

Didn't you cry sentiment and powers that be against Buhari? How hypocritical is that?

Like I said, they are not your boys as long as they are not from your village. This is enough to count you a tribalist.
