Presidency Confirms The Dismissal Of SARS Unit by cynthia9: 2:38pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
The presidency has confirmed that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has been dissolved from the Nigeria Police Force. The news comes days after major cities in the country were rocked with protests from youths calling for an end to police brutality. After days of pressure as a result of the protests which was echoed on Twitter beyond Nigeria to the United States, United Kingdom as well as South Africa, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu on Sunday, announced the disbandment of SARS. A statement from the presidency on its official Twitter page reads, “The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG has been dissolved WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. “The Inspector-General of Police will communicate further developments in this regard. “All officers and men of the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) are to be redeployed with immediate effect. A new policing arrangement to address anticipated policing gaps the dissolution of SARS will cause is being worked on and will be announced by @PoliceNG.” http://community.thenationonlineng.net/forum/presidency-confirms-dismissal-of-sars-unit?fbclid=IwAR2qFboEUJBm5mw7SNyGZsKhBav86NXY4Couj8Fmk7i5S2JYnQzml8yJx_w lalasticlala

The same way our political system is full of recycled products, that is the same way Sars officers would be recycled. The name may be changed but the people remain. Watch out for part 2. |

In spite of all the protests in the SW, Buhari showed no interest in abolishing SARS But immediately Awka and Aba got into the game, both Buhari's daughter and Buhari are playing their parts in ENDING SARS. Igbo Amaka 5 Likes 1 Share |

OfoIgbo: Cowards. It is the norm in the SW for us to protest genuinely and get positive result. Let me leak this secret, maybe the govt knew,it would have snowballed into a revolution,it would have been bloody but..... Govt did well in acting promptly. Coming next is.... #Truefederalism or dissolveNigeria# 5 Likes 1 Share |

I am sure that the Federal Government must have gotten security reports that the endsars protests could snowballed into a revolution. That is why they quickly disband sars. The politicians, elites and senior government officials are so used to enriching themselves through corrupted means that they will not allow Nigerian youths to pour sands on their garri. This is a warning for the PMB led regime. One Day and very soon, there will be an unprecedented uprars and protests by youths all over the country against hunger and hardships. The Rich should not sleep soundly because the poor are hungry and awake. 3 Likes |

Shame on palm drinker Lauretta Shame on Aunty Kemi Shame on all Nlanders who are against #EndSars OfoIgbo: Shame on you too Am ashamed of you as an Igbo man Mikecold: I can assure you that its his own personal View and not the view of every Igbo man. Sometimes, it will be wiser to give it back hot individually instead of dragging a whole tribe into the web of a single clown. If you don't control your temper, these clowns can drag you down to their bigotry and beat you silly with experience. I apologise on his behalf 5 Likes |

Beautiful. Next is to kick Ndigbo out of Nigeria. Singapore was kicked out of Malaya when their protests became unbearable to protect the Malaya federation (to prevent further breakup). So to protect Nigeria, Igboland( Alaigbo) should be kicked out of Nigeria to avoid further breakup (eg Oduduwa Republic and Niger Delta Republic). Join the movement #kickAlaigboOutofNigeria 1 Like |

More reasons to kick Ndigbo out of Nigeria. 1) They are tarnishing Nigerias image abroad with drugs and Biafran protests. 2) They are not loyal to Nigeria and her citizens welfare evident in this #EndSARS protest where most of Igbo cities failed to participate. 3) They are trying to secede with our Niger Delta and her oil 4) They were never even part of Nigeria to begin with evidence is that no Igbo representative was among the 6 that signed for the amalgamation of Nigeria. sapientia: Hey you clown, where on earth did you read me protest against the #ENDSARS movement? I'm quite supportive of the movement as I observed them humiliate a fellow young traveller and held us for nearly two hours because someone was using and iPhone earphone. This happened about a year ago. Anyway, these EndSARS people still need to give kudos to the east and Nnamdi Kanu for upping the ante, and forcing your lifeless president to act. |

Obamaofusa: SW almajiri, we Igbos have been complaining of these also. Just thank Aba, Awka, Asaba and Nnamdi Kanu for messing with Buhari's mind. The protests don't really need to stop. SARS is not the only unit involved in gross human rights abuses. DSS, the army etc should all be totally reformed. If Sowore knows his onions, this is the time to take advantage of this movement to advance his cause. REVOLUTIONNOW. I'm sure Kanu and his group will be more likely to help him out there, as it is more of a total overhauling of the system 1 Like |
