I see no reason why somebody on Nairaland will create a thread congratulating Southwest and Southsouth for the successful campaign of the just disbanded SARS.

It becomes imperative therefore that some facts are set aright.

It is on record that the first spark of intended protest was muted by Naira Marley but he chickened out on the 11th hour citing his mother as excuse.

It took the courage of Runtown, an Igbo guy, to finally lit the first fire of protest that now blazed into a conflagration nationwide. Not forgetting that he was joined by an Omualabi Falz, a reasonable Yoruba not tainted by stupid tribalism.

Others who lent their voice to the protest like Don Jazzy, Mercy Eke, Erica, Genevieve, are all Igbo.

Now, among those protesting in Lagos and Abuja, has that propagandist checked their population to know how many Igbos were there?

Did we all not see protests from Aba and Awka? Are these not Southeast cities?

The victory against SARS brutality is a victory for Nigerian youths irrespective of tribe. Like Wizkid said while he addressed London protesters, "This is just the beginning", and I feel it's time to drop stupid tribalism and work collectively for the good of this country. These old men have played with our destiny for too long.
