I am opening this thread as I feel my present state is applicable to so many persons hence I seek a particular thread where we all can unite, share and streamline our opportunities and choices based on informations we have been gathering from different other country specific threads.

I have come to that point in my life where I choose to reject very other thing that isn't related to traveling out of Nigeria,

I would be sharing the informations I have gathered so far and hopefully some other persons would be kind enough also to share theirs.....

Hence I declare this thread Open!!!!

Please note, all information I would be posting are based on what I have read so far from multiple threads here, but they are also very much subject to additions, and corrections provided the information is classified as authentic and verifiable.

Obviously most travel threads currently consist of so much pages such that anyone who dedicates time to go tru all one after the other would never complete reading it all even from now till the next 3years.

First question: I asked my self is how exactly can one travek out and make a better living

Answer: Either through school path or through Skilled or experienced Path.

Second question: classification of schools

Answer:

1. Schools that are free of school fees (Germany)

2. Schools where you must pay full tuition (Australia, Canada)

3. Schools where you can pay partial tuition ( Ireland, Poland, UK)

For now I would stop so I can receive feedback before I proceed......

I’m following, keep posting.

In my own view about this travel thing. If one doesn’t have up to 2m or 2.5m, one can begin by applying to developing countries (like Asia) first, get their visa, work for a year to two and save very well before relocating to another country (developed) of your choice if going through work path.

Can you share your experience on places where people that have the 2m-2.5m can migrate to, Cos I personally feel such amount may not jet someone out considering initial payment of fees and submiting POF for visa Application

I would start with Germany

I have couple of friends currently studying in Germany but currently it appears getting a date for visa interview at the German embassy is gradually turning to a camel passing tru a needle.....

Yes Germany is tuition free but you have to create a block account where you pay in over 5m, while you process your admission.
According to first hand info from my friends there, they pay heavy task which seamlessly reduce what they earn while studying to just take home allowances.... But trust me at all at all Na him bad

This principle in Germany also applies to Belgium.

Please guys I am still a researcher also.....

I do not know it all.....

If you have first hand info on the aforementioned countries please pop in and share it would go along way in helping someone in need. Plsssdd

how can you say Canada is overrated. Its still the easiest first world country giving permanent residency and citizenship in 3 years. All you have to do is increase your scores with masters, extra diploma or french. Since you are 30 and have bsc already.

Well for me it’s from Nigeria to chile/brazil/Argentina/ecuador to either USA or Ireland

I understand this is you sharing your thought process and plans based on what you have gathered from reading etc. Great to ask for feedback.

The first question you should really be asking yourself is where can you travel to make a better living. When that is done... a thread like this should follow... for you to get insight about that particular country. If all seems good... it is then the how to get there question gets priority.
There is sooo much to learn... like you said from others sharing their experiences here on NL. But this is something soooo important we overlook ... what we learned about... how to go about doing stuff.... do they apply in these COVID-19times?
For example....Last year.... GetawayX shared how he applied to University Y.... got admitted and was granted a Student Visa... travelled... got on campus boarding... and after lectures worked late into the night as a cleaner at a busy diner just outside campus. That's how he got money to maintain himself. You now have decided to follow his path.... but you are now in COVID-19 times. Is there in person classes?... if yes....how many days a week?... are the dorms opened?.... is the diner opened for indoor dining?...or just take away? ... most likely many businesses have been shut down... out of business.... unemployment has risen... job prospects drastically reduced.... food pantries bare. Get my drift?... one need to find out what's up on ground in these times before making a decision to travel out. Restrictions are wayyy too much. Just saying.

@Citygal, I have done a lot of consultation regarding this Vietnam teaching route, all I can say is that it is very difficult to teach English there as a Non native English speaker you maybe lucky though. But all the teaching centers I mailed made it clear that its not easy.

Have you gotten to Vietnam and got no job? Get there first, with the right qualifications, you'll get something to do.
Secondly, Vietnam work visa doesn't come from the embassy. You'll need a company in Vietnam to do that for you (Most of them will scam you)

Let's keep a positive mindset, that is the only way we can achieve our dreams. A lady inspired most of us shedding more light on the path of Vietnam so I believe too that nothing is/will be difficult for me.

Am not discouraging you or anyone, I have that same plan hence I made the research and got the reply from many teaching centers. Am just sharing the information I got. No harm meant.

Don't just go anywhere all in the name of traveling without finding out how things work there. Getting the qualification is not the issue, but the question is are you a native speaker of English. Priority is given to Native speakers of English.

And from your second paragraph, I did not say anything about visa so I don't know where you are getting that from.
Finally, am not discouraging anyone am sharing the information I got.
