I believe we have engineers in the house, Electrical engineers. How can a two bedroom flat consume 653kw/hr of electricity per month. I called them and demand to speak to an engineer because I believe their customer services representation will not understand what am talking about. We leave in very stupid country where we don’t apply any knowledge.. it is not possible for a two bedroom to use a 656 kw/ hr of electricity per month. Not even a 6 bedroom duplex in Alaska or Russia can use such amount.. I am very sure buhari will pay for me... AM waiting for Nepa office that will come and disconnect my wire...

The following is going to enrage some of you but here goes: you Nigerians have been living too free in Nigeria and have grown spoiled and entitled. Majority of you are ignorant of true state of the world. Government has been thin on the ground. In spite of SARS, Nigerians live lawlessly and have done for too long. You people barley pay taxes. You drive cars without going to driving schools, meaning majority of your driving license are forgery. You guys with vehicles don’t pay insurance. You people don’t pay for road maintenance. You people build homes illegally. Erect buildings and structure where you want. You piss and shit where you like, without police harassment, when even if facilities are absent you could still ease yourselves with a little consideration for others and your environment. When you own business you often sell unlawful stuff in an unregulated market. Regulated markets are taxed. Nigerians go into the bush and hunt animals many of them animals on the endangered list that are unlawful to kill. Chemists sell outdated meds, without penalty from the law. Majority of you are not even Nigerians for you have no evidence such as birth certificates indicating where you were born. You pay virtually nothing for fuel. The list is endless. You all owe Nigeria a great deal but this truth is drowned out in the general rabbleous and ignorant noises you make about some mystical oppression, when your true oppressors is the limit ignorance has placed on some of you minds, depriving you of the ability to see opportunities that abound everywhere in that country Although, how one is oppressed in a nation that is effectively without functioning police, judiciary or tax system – the very definition of the perfect Free State – is beyond me.

One day you people will work yourself up into a lather of such rage, you will destroy Nigeria and then you people will go and live in other nations and pay bills at a higher rate than ever dreamt of in Nigeria.

plus if u have an outstanding debt, prepaid won't be funny anymore.
It is still better than Estimated bills. Prepaid Meter allows you to ration your consumption!

When nigerians got tired of SARS we are all seeing their reactions. When the same nigerians are tired of all other nonsense I believe we will still see their reactions. In the meantime lets continue with what we are good at, tribal insults.

A bill that used to be 4.5k within a year ls now 28k see this batch of armed robbers.

How does one keep a straight face and ask tenant to pay. We have paid for meter (89k each and I am told it's not mine) and they refuse to install.

Where is the next protest against this electricity cos.

This country is truly forked up.

Storming their office, placards placing, aggressive turn up and declaring non stop protest to drop sense to their corrupt brain.

LandMann:
Wonderful

Johnathan the "hero" of democracy unbundled PHCN and gave licenses to DISCOS and cronies who know nothing about how to solve electricity challenges in Nigeria...

These same people are mere corrupt politicians who prefer to sell darkness to Nigerians instead of light.

If their licenses are not withdrawn now, Nigeria's electricity problem will remain unsolved for years to come.

Withdraw their license and give it to technology companies who will come in with funds to meter every house connected to the national grid and ensure that wires taking light to any house in Nigeria also passes through a meter NOT LOCATED WITHIN THE HOUSE, preferably at a central location away from the house to avoid people BYPASSING.

Then invest heavily on constant unscheduled monitoring of both meters to checkmate such issues of bypassing.

The current system is not working because the DISCOS are just political establishments, and they are not willing to put in the investment and technology to improve the situation because they prefer to sell darkness and over bill customers,

While many Nigerians who have meters inside their house steal light by constantly bypassing the meters.

We need to change our ways and approaches to problems in this country.

Prepaid meters bypassing is very rampant, like 8 out 10 households with prepaid meters. Almost all of them bypass from evening to the following morning. To make the matter worse, whenever their staff members caught some customers, they would collect money from the offenders instead of reporting them. And the breach continues for years.
