okoye played all the preseason game even played against Dortmund so what are we talking about
basco show where alampasu made 20 apperances alampasu only made 6 appearances in 5 years do he even merit a call up

Keep quiet. Alampasu played for his youth team. Except you are not here when they made jest of him because he played in Portuguese youth team. Tbaba was one of them. He gave account here but unfortunately, he is nowhere to be found.

No, he doesn’t deserve any “chance”. He should start by showing us what he’s capable of at his football club. The national team is not a place for trial and error.

i hear what you say but Alampasu deserves a chance to show what he's capable of. if he flops then that's on him for blowing his opportunity because this is a friendly after all.

Uzoho has shown his quality, Maduka we have seen let us see Alampasu

When Maduka was hustling for attention, commenting and liking NFF's social media posts, Alampasu was thinking Rohr has time to travel to Portugal and watch his games against bottom feed, or maybe tune to YouTube and watch the games that cannot be found.
I just weak

Okay oooooooo

judging by this season he has been playing as a RB and RWB so he is familar with the position and rohr is playing him so as to tighten the defense coz were sacrificing 5 players to attack; iwobi, moses, chuks, nacho, musa

Is that the official line up? If so then, I will disagree with the selection. Based on the last game, Ajayi shouldn’t start in midfield again unless he intends to use his as CB. And Musa shouldn’t start either. He didn’t do much when he came on as a sub against Algeria.

And why isn’t Ebuehi starting? He was one of the best players in the field against Algeria. Unless he has a knock.

That statement was made by someone here. I challenged the Maduka invitation because the guy was playing in the 4th tier. That was what the person said o.

I really hope so. I always got frustrated watching the SE playing some boring defensive football.

Anyways your 6 appearances in 5 years is simply wrong. He also played for his club's U23 side for a whole season.

It wasn't a lie sir.. Maduka was indeed romancing the NFF social media pages... Screenshots of his comments where posted here long before your moniker surfaced here...

That could have been a key factor behind his call up.. as far as his stats are concerned, they aren't impressive....

I am sorry, but out of those 3, only Enyeama was very good. At least world-class for a period, especially later in his career. And i beg to differ Etafia wasn't better than Aiyenugba. When Enyeama left in 2004, Aiyenugba won the Nigerian premier league with Enyiba in 2005 and 2007. You may have to provide the timeline during which Etafia was better. Dele was first invited in 2005, when he started for Enyimba. I also believe Etafia featured for Nigeria a couple of times. In 2007, Aiyenugba moved to Isreal, after his success with Enyimba. I am trying to find an instance when Etafia was better, but to no avail.
jihday:
The only time I remember us having problems with our goalkeeping department was '98, Sunday Rotimi and Greg Etafia were good enough to at least replace Aiyenugba as 3rd choice both of them were never given any chance to prove themselves

I agree . The only positive I take from Ajayi playing DM is that he is good with aerial balls....Ejuke should have started ahead of Musa..
Aina at RB ahead of Akpoguma... If Rohr wanted to start Akpoguma,he should have just used him at CB..

But,let's see...
The lineup might just work...

Likewise Aina.. But Akpoguma is primarily a CB..
We already have Awaziem and Shehu being used as makeshift RBs add to natural RBs like Ebuehi and Aina..

I think it would make more sense for Akpoguma to start at CB and Aina RB..
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by chrisooblog: 3:24pm On Oct 13, 2020
chief he was invited because the coaching crew think he's good enough. if he still has to prove himself at club level then why was he invited? as training material?

The guy is trying to squeeze his german contingent into the team. Aparently he promised them game time and he is trying to squeeze them in. He is a good politician

if the tactics work out expect a very high pressing game and attacking game.

Abeg no vex Sir, make I ask, are you "on the ground"?....I mean, are you part of the technical crew?

It would seem so..
Cus I don't see the sense in inviting a player who primarily plays as a CB and u start using him at his secondary position when you have two natural RBs available..
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by JayromWrites: 3:41pm On Oct 13, 2020
if we lose, alot of "Mature minds" will pop up to tell us how this is only a friendly and we shouldn't be emotional blah blah blah

yet Mr. Rohr can't start Yakubu/Alampasu, Aina, ejuke or Cyril

at least let us see the new players... My man went to play Ajayi at Dm and Musa as a striker with Eze as a left winger

If we lose today, Man deserve the sticks

it not a factor to determine whether he will be call up or not do you know how many Nigeria players that comment on NFF page ...is rohr even active on IG and twitter I doubt it
Rohr met okoye for the first when he went to Germany to see bazze and heard of his exploit in fortuna the captivating news that he made 5 appearances with 4 clean sheet thereby saving his team from relegating from oberliga and rohr knew that Nigeria is struggling in the GK department and he decided to visit that just it all the comment was just nothing and merely coincidental.
