I agree . The only positive I take from Ajayi playing DM is that he is good with aerial balls....Ejuke should have started ahead of Musa..
Aina at RB ahead of Akpoguma... If Rohr wanted to start Akpoguma,he should have just used him at CB..

But,let's see...
The lineup might just work...

ejuke really deserves to start but we will be seeing him in the second half coming in for moses

where did he show he played a whole for feirense u-23
I said he started 6 games for the past 5 years
and which is truth the rest he came as a Sub

No u didn't u said he played 6 matches. The fact that he played for their U23 is common knowledge on this thread. Abi @ thesupernerd and Tbaba1234 am I wrong on this?

it not a factor to determine whether he will be call up or not do you know how many Nigeria players that comment on NFF page ...is rohr even active on IG and twitter I doubt it
Rohr met okoye for the first when he went to Germany to see bazze and heard of his exploit in fortuna the captivating news that he made 5 appearances with 4 clean sheet thereby saving his team from relegating from oberliga and rohr knew that Nigeria is struggling in the GK department and he decided to visit that just it all the comment was just nothing and merely coincidental.

super story

Okoye was invited not because of form or merit

plus he is not the best inform keeper in camp atm
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Curtisaxel7(m): 3:53pm On Oct 13, 2020
This debate over Okoye is fruitless. The boy has delivered for the SE, simple and short. I don't care if he plays in Turkmenistan's 87th Division. This is a guy who held his own against a Brazilian team featuring some of the finest players in the game. Just recently he held out heroically against the incessant onslaught of the African champions in a game where his midfield and defence (save Balogun) was virtually non existent.

Maduka Okoye is our best keeper available, case closed.

so 5 appearances with 4 clean sheet is not in form
what's your definition for in form...this made rohr see as a promising GK and he went on a whole season with 15 appearances and now he is Sparta Rotterdam the nigga is still developing this is his third season in the top flight and he is in this level haba alampasu has been in the top flight for 5 years yet he could only play cups games and Europa qualifier for a team in Latvia.
I guess alampasu case is merited too

You lied. In 2016, he played two matches and he was the second choice goalkeeper of his team in Portuguese first division.

You said 5 games in 5 years but if we add the two games he played to the 6 games he played this year, it is already more than 5 games. I will not count the ones he played in 2017, 2018 etc.

You are a bloody liar.

8 games in 5 years isn't that still poor?

judging by this season he has been playing as a RB and RWB so he is familar with the position and rohr is playing him so as to tighten the defense coz were sacrificing 5 players to attack; iwobi, moses, chuks, nacho, musa

On the mAtter arising concerning Okoye.

I perceive many people here Are only waiting for today's game to be played to say "I told you so and so about him" I pray overall it turns out positive, I mean the result of the match. How good or bad okoye is should be will be understood better based on his performance today

There's nothing to assess in Alampasu, this isn't the first time he's getting an invite under Rohr he even played against Togo. Whether he uses those guys or not it doesn't change the fact that they won't be invited for next month games as he already has his top 3 even 4 keepers (Akpeyi, Maduka, Uzoho, Ezenwa)

Imagine, Ezenwa among the top 4. Wetin Musa no go see for gate.

Ajayi playing infront of the defence The guy no dey open up to receive pass from the defence. Sometimes he will even forget that he is blocking the line of pass. He needs to be more mobile when SE is with the ball.
Playing Akpoguma as RBWhen Aina is in the team. Na watch i wan watch the game sha
I am not really cool with Okoye in the post again. Alampasu/Yakubu should have shared the game lets see what they re made of. This is friendly for crying out loud.

actually he was barely tested against the Brazilians.

no body is saying Okoye can't play for the SE the clamor is for fairness to be applied in respect of the other goalkeepers in camp. let us see with our korokoro eyes whether they are good or not.

He was tested and we have seen what he can deliver. The same way we need to see the others too. This is a friendly match and not a qualification game. Unless Rohr wants force the hands of Sparta coach by selling Okoyes qualities to him.

It wasn't a lie sir.. Maduka was indeed romancing the NFF social media pages... Screenshots of his comments where posted here long before your moniker surfaced here...

That could have been a key factor behind his call up.. as far as his stats are concerned, they aren't impressive....

Maduka was not invited because of social media activities. Rohr wanted to add depth to the goalkeeping area and Maduka was a young goalie playing regularly for fortuna under 23. He had already contacted Maduka the year before and Maduka indicated interest in playing for us.

Maduka is part of the team mainly due to the fact that our gk department is weak. He has done very well so far.

Let's not forget. He is just 21. Not football age 21. Proper 21. He can only get better.

Bascovanveli is correct. Alampasu played for the under 23 before he was released.

But. He also had a period of inactivity when he was not playing at all.
