smartsmith0907: super story Okoye was invited not because of form or merit plus he is not the best inform keeper in camp atm |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Curtisaxel7(m): 3:53pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
This debate over Okoye is fruitless. The boy has delivered for the SE, simple and short. I don't care if he plays in Turkmenistan's 87th Division. This is a guy who held his own against a Brazilian team featuring some of the finest players in the game. Just recently he held out heroically against the incessant onslaught of the African champions in a game where his midfield and defence (save Balogun) was virtually non existent. Maduka Okoye is our best keeper available, case closed. 8 Likes |

JayromWrites: so 5 appearances with 4 clean sheet is not in form what's your definition for in form...this made rohr see as a promising GK and he went on a whole season with 15 appearances and now he is Sparta Rotterdam the nigga is still developing this is his third season in the top flight and he is in this level haba alampasu has been in the top flight for 5 years yet he could only play cups games and Europa qualifier for a team in Latvia. I guess alampasu case is merited too I smell prejudices |

On the mAtter arising concerning Okoye. I perceive many people here Are only waiting for today's game to be played to say "I told you so and so about him" I pray overall it turns out positive, I mean the result of the match. How good or bad okoye is should be will be understood better based on his performance today |

Ajayi playing infront of the defence The guy no dey open up to receive pass from the defence. Sometimes he will even forget that he is blocking the line of pass. He needs to be more mobile when SE is with the ball. Playing Akpoguma as RBWhen Aina is in the team. Na watch i wan watch the game sha I am not really cool with Okoye in the post again. Alampasu/Yakubu should have shared the game lets see what they re made of. This is friendly for crying out loud. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by chrisooblog: 4:40pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
actually he was barely tested against the Brazilians. no body is saying Okoye can't play for the SE the clamor is for fairness to be applied in respect of the other goalkeepers in camp. let us see with our korokoro eyes whether they are good or not. Curtisaxel7: 2 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by comodo: 4:46pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
Curtisaxel7:He was tested and we have seen what he can deliver. The same way we need to see the others too. This is a friendly match and not a qualification game. Unless Rohr wants force the hands of Sparta coach by selling Okoyes qualities to him. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 5:04pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
Danielnino00: Maduka was not invited because of social media activities. Rohr wanted to add depth to the goalkeeping area and Maduka was a young goalie playing regularly for fortuna under 23. He had already contacted Maduka the year before and Maduka indicated interest in playing for us. Maduka is part of the team mainly due to the fact that our gk department is weak. He has done very well so far. Let's not forget. He is just 21. Not football age 21. Proper 21. He can only get better. 1 Like |

smartsmith0907: Bascovanveli is correct. Alampasu played for the under 23 before he was released. But. He also had a period of inactivity when he was not playing at all. |
