Maduka was not invited because of social media activities. Rohr wanted to add depth to the goalkeeping area and Maduka was a young goalie playing regularly for fortuna under 23. He had already contacted Maduka the year before and Maduka indicated interest in playing for us.

This is a guy who held his own against a Brazilian team featuring some of the finest players in the game. Just recently he held out heroically against the incessant onslaught of the African champions in a game where his midfield and defence (save Balogun) was virtually non existent.
