I think our performance today was better than on Friday.... Nevertheless,I have a few points to make 1) Ajayi should not play in midfield again..aside good aerial controls, and some good tackles,be brings nothing more else to the midfield..his passing and ball control are poor...abeg,he should continue at CB 2) Chukwueze is off form, Simon has improved really well.. 3) Musa has no business starting games for the SE for now... Baba has lost it...he should be coming in from the bench if at all he must play 4) Iheanacho despite his penalty miss and occasionally fouls and poor control still remains the best backup for Osimhen..his goalscoring abilities are definitely still there. Deseers tried for the few minutes he got. And finally,Rohr is still clueless as always... Why didn't Aina play? What's the pont of having 2 natural RBs and u go ahead and play makeshift RBs, I mean what's the point at all?? You have Agu that can play DM,but u used Ajayi as makeshift.. I'm sorry to say the friendlies have been a waste of time...I can't see anything positive to take away from it,except maybe Okoye.... I hope the list of November should be based on club form and not the other way around..we don't want match rusty players in the team... 4 Likes 1 Share |

Iwobi performed incredibly well today. He assisted Iheanacho for that goal, but it was not recorded sha. And I think our goalkeeping problem is solved,Okoye is good. 2 Likes |

Least I forget, Iwobi was good today! Our best player on the pitch... He was everywhere.. He and Simon have definitely improved! I believe he would have performed better if he had a better midfield to support.. 8 Likes |

Tbh, seeing people criticise Rohr even with today's performance shows how many watch football so much but still know little about tactics. 3 Likes 1 Share |

What about Collins that hasn't played for his club this season? Rohr is just doing nonsense.. that was how he kept playing a makeshift Shehu at RB until he was exposed at the world cup.... 3 Likes |

Overall, a better game than against Algeria. A more experienced starting line up. The team played with more intensity. Maduka Okoye had another brave outing. A much improved goalie from last year. I think Rohr is trying to establish him as our second choice goalie. The defense did creditably ok again today. Balogun and Omeruo combining well at the middle. Akpoguma played the RB like a CB, zero movement forward, he however settled better when he was moved to his CB position. Zaidu Sanusi, played almost same way as last game: good with short passes and dashing runs, but his crosses always let him down. Awaziem came in and introduced more pace and movement on our right side of the pitch. A good game for him. A better midfield than in the Algeria game. I give Ajayi kudos for managing that his make-shift position of Defensive Midfield. Not an easy position to play if it is not your regular position. Iwobi did better today: a lot more creativity and better passes also with a high work rate. Chukwueze, showed some flashes of brilliance but just like in the last game, his end product was poor, also isolated for most of the game. Simon had an improved game. But his finishing was poor. With the kind of formation Rohr played today, i expected Musa to be that link between the Wingers and the main striker, but it appears Musa is almost due for retirement: lack of vision, poor ball handling and lack of pace. Ejuke, a very lively player but over does himself. A player like that will hardly start a game because you are sure he will not last up 60mins on the pitch Iheanacho, high point was his goal, low point was the penalty miss. He did ok, kept the Tunisian midfield and Defense busy. Cyriel Dessers, Finally! But didn't make any recountable Impact upon introduction. Well, overall a fair outing for both games. With lots of positives to take home. Looking forward to seeing the AFCON qualifiers list especially which players to be dropped when the regulars that missed the friendlies return. 1 Like |
