Billchille: #Endsars doesn't mean Police should stop working, afterall they're all collecting salaries to protect lives and property so the protest is not an excuse for poor Policing, don't use it as an excuse. If the Nigerian Police force was working well, there wouldn't be issues of robbery and burglary so don't mix it up. What people are against is the harassment and incessant killings. Everyone is afraid of the police nowadays... So just because we need security, SARS and other Police men should continue robbing and harassing and even killing youths? Abeg if they scrap Police, Vigilantes will emerge. We have never depended on the Police anyways. All they do is to collect money when you report. 1 Like |

Billchille:Its ember period and breaking into shops is normal thing. Our shopping complex is located within 50m of 2 police post ie checkpoints on either side, and the shops facing the roads were burgled regularly especially ember period. We have simply increased security and since then nothing. 1 Like |

GOATandYAMtheory: You and your cowardly generation failed to straighten the government, and we choose to do it during our time to make live better for the generation after us, and you dare open your gutter of a mouth to call us "the worst thing that ever happened to the universe". I can say you are among the many problems the country suffers from but I won't expect from someone from a failed generation. 1 Like |

I have noticed something similar too. Everyone must be alert and avoid night movement. Criminals understand that they now have complete freedom for a little time and would exploit the opportunity before it closes. SARS is not coming back but order will eventually be restored. 1 Like |

I don't understand something, please - 1. How many SARS officers are there? 2. How many robberies did they (SARS) foil last month? 3. The over 371,800 policemen in Nigeria, what are their job description? If criminals now have complete freedom, then that means we should simply ask all the remaining policemen to go home then. Billchille: LOL... This is the new tactics you guys want to use to end the protest! Shame!! Well, Police must be reformed whether you like it or not. Try another gimmick. |

protests:Perhaps, you are not in Nigeria, has been home-bound or don't stay in one of the active cities. Regular policemen aren't fools, they won't risk being at the wrong place. When BLM protests was at its peak, cops stayed away even when shops are being looted and burned a stone throw from their position. The last thing they want is another accident to provoke protesters. Many police unit have left their regular corners and are staying safe at the station because their presence may provoke further unrest. Even EFCC has stopped arrests.
You really don't want to live in an environment with no police at all except villages. The one million boys onslaught will be a child's play should that happen. 1 Like 1 Share |

CoderX: Most of these people that are backing SARS are members of their families that are benefiting from the proceeds of their crime. Even most of them that were the sars could turn around and start stealing because they have deprived them means where they get their money from. |
