Hello

I registered for IELTS test, Enugu centre. I just read about the UKVI approved centre. I am planning to use my result for UK Visa. Is taking my IELTS at the Enugu centre appropriate?

I strongly advice against using any material not by Cambridge for practice. They are either too easy or too hard compared to the original IELTS test. Stick to Cambridge official materials :-)

please sir don't confuse yourself. if you need IELTS UKVI for the Visa u r processing, then you need to book for IELTS UKVI. IELTS have three type of test, IELTS UKVI, IELTS academic, IELTS general.. so book the one that is required for the Visa u r processing.

I took this test just to know how this exam works and what are modules. In taking this exam, I can share that they are just focusing on how well you are in English. Would you be able to talk, understand and respond to someone in countries where English is the main communication language. It can overcome the barriers of different communities.

Luckily, I got 7.5 overall.

I sent mine in on 25th Sept and got feedback on 7th October. I only requested EOR on writing.

Mine is both Writing and Speaking.

[quote author=uzyfine post=93571779]Good day my people, please how do I go about remarking writing with British council. I did computer based test. Since they are no longer attending to people in their office.

HI, did you get a response. Please would like to know how long it took for the remarking?

Please respond to this

Thanks in anticipation

Questions are harder but after practicing all including the master series I made 8.5 in both listening and reading CBT. I didn't prepare for speaking and writing though because I speak english daily and I wrote too many essays and research papers as a student about 10 years ago. I also noticed many people avoid the BC computer based test but I found it very convenient as compared to the paper-based test because its easier to type than write

Okay, thank you.

But did you also get low scores during your practice?

Yes initially I was getting 7/7.5 in listening and 6.5/7 in reading but as time when on I improved my average score to 8.0 in listening and 7.5 in reading . However in the real exam I got 8.5 in both modules because the practice materials were harder

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the information here. I've gone through almost all the pages and it's been very informative.

Nonetheless, I still have a question and I will appreciate it being answered. I plan to register to write in Delta State, Warri precisely, under British Council. Now, there is no IELTS Center for BC in Delta but the exam venue is listed. My question now is about the situation at the venue. I hope there's someone who's written in Warri here or at least, someone who knows someone. I'm concerned about the listening test. Were earpieces provided or was a loud speaker used instead?

Thanks, in anticipation of your kind response(s).

That's the key to success. Prepare tougher so it becomes a lot easier. What shall it profit a man to get higher bands in practising tests but at the end score low?

Just accept whatever you see that day. But I would advise you to practise without earpiece. Also, sometimes try to prepare on the background that is not very quiet, it's all about getting it right during the actual test. Prepare adequately and build up your vocabulary.

Okay, I will do as you've advised. I've been practising without an earpiece but I'll adopt doing so in a noisy environment. Thanks a lot, Crownstar01.

Hi guys,

I wrote my test on the 9th of October at workforce group gbagada Lagos (ielts bc) and I’m yet to see my result as at today 22nd. I thought the cbt result is meant to take about 3-5 days for the results to be out. I logged into my profile and I can’t find the result there.

Is there anyone that wrote his/her test on that same date, and is also yet to see his/her result online please?

Thank you
